Slowly picking up the pace.
🕑 Added 2023-08-29 20:32:19 +0000 UTCIt's been a plod getting through Day 2 as the day is just a huge info dump for the most part. That means trying to find ways to make conversations interesting, and the only real way to do that is to interrupt them from time to time with a bit of t&a. Even with doing that, there's still just a lot to get through and Day 2 may be a bit slow because of that.
I've written and rewritten each scene way more than usual, and even then I'm not real happy with things, but better to push forward at this point than chasing something that I probably won't ever achieve. To that end, I'm pretty much done with all the main talky-talky bullshit I need to cover and I'm about to wrap up the last scene I've got written at the moment.
I tested to see how much content I have at the moment and with reading at a fairly leisurely pace, it clocked in at about 35 to 40 minutes. Of course, the day isn't done yet, so there will most likely be around an hour of content when all is said and done, but I need to figure out how to flesh out the end of the day.
I know one scene I can do, and I still have the first "bonus" scene to add in as well, but I still want a couple more scenes with some spice to them to help balance out all the exposition. I just need to figure out the what and with who part. I also need to keep things at the right level because some of the ideas I have might be pushing things with certain characters a bit fast. Then again...
Anyway, I'm starting to get more done each day than I have been. I've been having real problems with pain in my neck and right shoulder. I tried to see if it was just me sleeping on it wrong, but the pain has been persistent for the last couple of weeks so I'm just going to do what any normal person would... try to ignore it and push through. I'm getting more and more used to it so I've been able to get more done each session before I need to take a break. Hopefully that trend continues until I can just ignore it completely.
With that being said, I'm still in good shape to get some more work done, so I'll get back to it and talk to you again in the next update!
