A Natural Approach series part 2
🕑 Added 2022-09-20 10:54:28 +0000 UTCHello! I'm excited to upload this recording, for those of you who were able to catch the video live, thanks for tuning in.
Each demonstration adds a new dimension referencing how I paint, whether from life or photos. You'll see in this segment, that if you stick to a sketch that may not be entirely resolved yet, parts of the composition come into view as you press on.
This makes me excited and nervous to see where the big piece will head, but I have confidence it will end up being a learning experience for everyone involved!

This demo was an Ah-ha moment for me. Dusted off a piece attempted and abandoned 3 times over years. Going to try again "on an emotional level". Thank you Michael.

Well said, Jan. Feeling the composition out and becoming connected with the piece on an emotional level as I sneak up on it.
I like that you're being so subtle, especially with the greens. It's almost like you're "sneaking up" on passages. Feeling your way around? Gently, no rush, nice.
