thx am for the feedback as U were saying the distortion is a lot which was intentional; however I didn't know it was painful to the human ear (I subject myself to that kind of music so to me it isn't anymore😭)

Hi, I've recently switched from making "Spotify playlist" focused music to trying for more dance-floor capable tracks, but have yet to get much DJ attention on this track despite thinking it's quite dance-floor friendly myself (😆) so would like any ideas on areas for improvement. One known issue is the mix, it's a bit loud and a there's a bit too much stuff competing in the high end (vocals / higher frequency drum loops), but other than that I thought (before sending it out) that it was in a decent place. disclaimer actually 2: this is only a feature but I produced a little drop as well starts at abt 0:50 till 1:58 ish 2nd I distorted TF out of that file in the master in this chase an artistic choice. Hey Mors, here's one of the tracks I've been working on lately: https://on.soundcloud.com/VpZ2gmhwYygWwdAx6 I'm not entirely conviced about the sound selection, sometimes I feel like drums and instruments don't really fit well together. Out of curiosity: what would you do with a track like this (after I've implemented your suggestions)? Look for an artist who might wanna jump on it? Or pitch it for sync deals? I also often find it difficult to make the song really take off without adding too many sounds. I don't know, maybe you can comment on that. I would be very happy.
