And yet I can also see that I could still improve further.

Personally I still love the original artwork :) The remake does put more dimension and depth but the visual story and suspense is just as good in the original. Not to mention I think the original artwork is still pretty good! Definitely better than anything I can do at the moment.. Maybe in 10 years I can draw on par with the original pages. I've got a lot of work ahead of me though ^^;
