This page was… the most “wholesome” one, ya know minus the kidnapping and stuff

Plus she has basically been on "ABDLSD" for the past 2 days at this point and has only just came down from "most" of the effects. (I say "most" considering how she reacted when the mother walked in in the previous page) I think that signifies that either she hasn't fully came down from the drugs, or the drugs could also have some permanent side effects which would make sense when you think about it.

I think just psychological abuse. Building up fear and then yanking it away can cause an emotional reaction as if you did something really nice. Weird defect in the way our brains are designed; it's one of the big reasons people stay in abusive relationships.
