It's not that Star is allegedly not a team player. It's the misguided opinion of a unprofessional commanding officer who happens to be a untrustworthy liar.
maybe I'm just over analyzing here.
I don't know I kind of empathize with the character here because in my opinion some days it's okay not to be a team player .but how I see it is that I've always been the same way I don't think I have to be a team player. all the time I mean we all benefit from being a team player once-in-a-blue-moon but if I don't benefit. unless you offer some kind of benefit to the team or I get a benefit out of it why should I have to help you? the whole point of a team is for all parties to get benefit from it so if you could just do it by yourself then what's the point?

Star thinks that Marellis is putting her on this task force to either apologize, or get her out of his hair. Marellis is trying to convince her that he's putting her in a situation where the parts of her personality that showed through when he was essentially being held captive can shine (he) through and be encouraged.
Does this mean she’s still going to be near her unka and aunty?
