Weekly Report
🕑 Added 2024-05-19 14:55:20 +0000 UTCHello! Work this week involved finishing and sending out the 0.07 update for Early Access. Beyond that, a bit of preparation for the upcoming Catch-up update has started, primarily outlines for what will be 'caught-up'.
This is a pretty wordy weekly report, so here's a tldr:
The upcoming catch-up update is an update for working on WIP content not finished in the already existing areas of the game.
There will still be new enemies added, though for this particular update, the combat for some of them will be different.
My ideal update schedule has 2 months between releases as a maximum. Where possible, I will try to release updates faster than that. Please understand that circumstances could cause them to take longer, however.
I would like to begin posting sneak peaks for updates between updates. I am considering images and occasionally demo fights of part of, or all of an enemy fight. More suggestions are welcome, please post them in the general-suggestions channel in the Discord!
Thank you to everyone that has become a patron!
Thank you to everyone for the feedback and interest in the game!
tldr over.
Though I've mentioned it before, I'll go into a bit more detail of what 'catch-up' update means. Some have probably noticed some places, particularly in Castaway Port and the Bandit Camp, have either explicit messages that say 'WIP' or something similar, or have places that look like content should be there, but isn't. Some of these spots might be locations for defeat content which will not be touched on much in this update, but generally, the rest is where the focus of this update will be! I will be working to try and get as much of these areas developed as I can.
Does that mean there will be no new enemies this update? Nope, that isn't the case! Two things I plan to focus on in this update include a mini boss in the Mouse Hideout, and a section in the Casino for a slightly different style of combat!
--------------
To switch gears a bit and talk about the recently released update, first, thank you to everyone that has became a patron! In just a few days many more than I expected have become patrons!
Similarly, I appreciate the feedback on the systems I have introduced involving the update schedule. It shows me that players are interested in the continued development of the game! To clarify some things further, I referenced 2 months a lot in my examples and considerations on the announcement. I did not mean to portray that 2 months was necessarily always going to be the time frame between updates. My ideal is only for 2 months to be the maximum time between updates, and I of course would love to release them quicker. This update took much longer than I expected it to, which is why I grew more cautious with the times I listed. I can't promise i can meet my ideals, but I will do my best to!
The last topic I will talk about is content between updates. I know so far it's been pretty much just the updates and nothing else, besides sometimes a bug fix. I'd like to change this a bit. Right now, I'm mostly considering the usual stuff, mainly images and the occasional sneak peak of part of, or all of an enemy fight. Other ideas are of course welcome! If you have any, feel free to put them in the general-suggestions channel on the Discord!
Thank you to everyone for the feedback and interest in the game!
