Episode 5 Roadmap
🕑 Added 2022-08-30 08:07:47 +0000 UTCHey everyone, here's the roadmap for episode 5 and some more longterm plans. I will be adding things if needed and regularly updating it, just have to figure out the best place to post it first.
To explain a bit: Script outline is just an outline of scenes - I am usually very messy with keeping notes and have a tendency to never read notes I write for myself, but I solved that with designing a huge table in Word where I keep all relevant information in a very compact space - it might sound trivial, but it's been a huge help in managing plans efficiently.
The script and the art are self-explanatory; all of the dialogue, narration and artwork.
The gallery feature will be the typical gallery where you can view past scenes - something I imagine will be needed now that we will gradually have more erotic content. I think the way I'll do it is to have a scene gallery and then an image gallery, to differentiate between full scenes and just individual pretty images.
Now, for the more longterm plans: the sprite rework is something I've been planning for a very long time. I briefly dipped my toes into it last episode with changing Anasteya's sprite, but I would like this rework to be quite extensive - and most likely (hopefully) final. It wouldn't just be "touching up" existing sprites, but redrawing all of them from scratch and making them more EXPRESSIVE. That is, not just by moving the features slightly as it is now, but actually introduce variations to poses and different poses altogether.
The sprite rework will also attempt to correct the gap between character appearances in CGs and sprites, and unify their appearance/proportions in general. I am not sure how long it will take - it might get done until the next episode, and it might take like two or three.
And the map of the region I think is also self-explanatory - I think I will use the software that I posted about here a long time ago, it's very neat and easy to use.
On an unrelated note, I will be posting a patron poll for something fairly meaningless today - the protagonist's melee weapon of choice. I want to test some new tool I've acquired for counting patron votes, so I would like to test if it actually works before we vote on something more impactful.
As for episode 5 itself, I am going to make this one much shorter than episode 4 - and that way hopefully drastically reduce development time. It will still structurally function as an "episode", just not... three episodes stitched together into one monster.
