I'm back online once more!
🕑 Added 2024-11-01 16:33:04 +0000 UTCFinally. My idea of using the neighbors' WiFi did not work out thanks to the layout of the building, but today, my ISP finally sent a technician.
My internet is still... not good, but at least it works. Mostly.
I'll upload the Monday and Wednesday chapters in the next few minutes. Unfortunately, I might have to delay the Friday chapter to tomorrow morning, since the technician appointment took up a lot more time than I would have liked.
If nothing unforeseen happens, I'll be able to finally get one or two additional chapters out for the Counts over the weekend, to get closer to the ten advance chapters I haven't managed to deliver so far.

I've considered it, since its monthly cost is a third cheaper than what I currently pay. Unfortunately, the hardware is quite expensive, it's significantly slower than fiber optics (albeit slightly faster than my current DSL), and I don't really have a spot to place the antenna in the first place. That said, if the fiber optic installation gets delayed or cancelled, I'll try to find a way (anything short of throwing my girlfriend's plants off the balcony lmao)

So is your line simply not stable or incredibly slow? Depending on how much you pay Starlink might be worth it.

I already had to switch, since my old ISP doesn't deliver here – fiber optics were promised for April 2025, which means I'll probably have to deal with DSL bullshit for the next two years or so, while they inevitably delay or cancel the installation. Now, I pay twice the money for a fifth of the speed. Worst trade deal in the history of trade deals, maybe ever. lol

If your ISP can't deliver the same level of service at your new address you can terminate your contract and move to one that can.
