Rough Pages + BG Characters Needed! + Print Update
🕑 Added 2020-12-21 21:45:06 +0000 UTCToday's the first day of winter! *mini yay* Everyone gearing up for a....totally normal Christmas holiday? I know I am - I've completely checked out at work (and so has everyone else apparently). My goal is to push through CNMC since I've got positive momentum going! I managed to rough draft most of what I need today in my handy dandy notebook, so feel free to keep a mental note of the expressions in these 2 sample pages when the finished pages pop up! Chapters 2-5 will be longer in length than 1 was.
Background Characters Needed!
Would you like your sona to appear in the comic? Feel free to let me know so I can add them in! I'll need BG characters for chapter 2 too, so sound off in the comments below to be added in!
The Final Prints Have Arrived!
FINALLY! And they all look good, so I'll be wrapping up the last few tonight and dropping them off tomorrow! And to those whose packages I've shipped 1-2 weeks ago, they've finally moved so rest assure that they're on their way to your doorstep!
I'm not sure who needs assurance more, you or me XD
I really appreciate everyone's patience and understanding, it means the world to me and encourages me to try this again in 2021! I want to be able to offer you guys a 2022 calendar and CMNC in paperback form next year, so I feel more comfortable after having made my mistakes with you all!
That's it for now! Take care and I truly hope you're doing fine, guys!
Happy Holidays,
Qal

Ooh exciting. And if you ever wanted to draw a cat, I have a serval. :> Don't feel obliged though. There are lots of options already.

Definitely remember Rosalind and Rebecca! I'd love to add Rosalind the Dhole if you're ok with that!
Qalcove
I don't think I've seen your OCs before, Moss :O DM me so I can take a look if you get a minute!
Qalcove
She was the lioness wasn't she? I think she was the first commission I took on my new tablet and I was SO scared to mess her up DX I think I'll add her in!
Qalcove
And a happy holidays to you too (also your print was JUST dropped off)! If I can squeeze him in some way I definitely will!
Qalcove
I'd love to see him! Feel free to send a ref here, Twitter or on Discord!
Qalcove
Juantriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii ToT I will absolutely add your boiyo in there! Love his design and will add to the city's diversity!
Qalcove
Absolutely! I know two places where I can add you! And Merry Christmas to you as well!
Qalcove
Someone needs to make "Have you considered adding a Meo?" into a tee shirt for you next year XD You've been added, me bucko!
Qalcove
Hey Voyager! Now THAT'S a tricky one! I saw this comment before bed and THINK I might know a way to put you in! I'll let you know when the time comes, Voyager!
Qalcove
Oh, Danny booooi! (Sorry I needed to get that out of my system XD) Just DM me with a ref and I'll add you in, Dan!
Qalcove
I love love LOVE your bun-bun! Added to the list!
Mossberg
I have a brown bear and red stag (both male) OCs that you can use if those types of Northern temperate fauna interest you to draw
MageKiton
https://toyhou.se/MageKaitanagos has all my OC's since I'm guessing Dragon won't fit in unless Zootopia Santa is a mythical creature XD If I may recommend, you may recall these two ladies if you want to use them. https://toyhou.se/7893213.rosalind and https://toyhou.se/7893208.rebecca Plenty of choices tho if anything leaps out at you, I'd simply be honored if any of my OC's made it in :3 Regardless, I'm looking forward to the rest of this comic!!!
How about my detective OC, Nolwazi Longtooth? You’ve drawn her before! Or you can put me in as Cam the Cybercrime cougar XD

great to hear all's coming together, Qal! Happy to be your training wheels while you get the E-commerce stuff puzzled out! Can't wait for my prints! If you want to wedge Stubat in there somewhere, give it a go, tho it sounds like it's getting busy! (Which is good.) You've got the refs. Can clothe as needed, don't forget wings, tho.. Stay safe, happy holidays! God bless! Stu
Sam Branham
I would love to see how you draw my sona, Sam Buggs. Just hit me up when you need the references. Provided you can fit him in of course. lol

Colonel Arbuckle
Love these sketches, Qal! And I would be absolutely honored for you to include my 'sona in the comic! Hope you're taking care of yourself and having a Merry Christmas season!
*Frantically waves paws in the air* Qal. Qal. Qal. I see what you're doing here and while I like it there's always one sure fire way to make it better. Have you considered... ... ... adding a Meo? 😹
VoyagerBomby
Awesome, Qal! ☺️ Wait... You would put ME in YOUR comic?! 🥺 That would be a dream come true for me! If it's possible, and if you want to do it, I'm totally in!! ☺️
Dancing Lunar Wolves
Cameo's ?! What did I need to send you for the spot?
Qalcove
If your sona is the red panda in your PFP then I don't see why not! Unless it's not, regardless if you'd like him in just send me a reference and I'll let you know!
I don't have a sona but if you wanna put my bun bun in I wouldn't object XD. The rough pages look cool so far and I can't wait for the finished comics. Im so excited for my prints to get here too! A comic and a calendar sounds awesome btw.
Qalcove
The meerkat? I'd love to have 'em! I remember you sent me a chara sheet a while back, but I had trouble accessing it (no permissions). If you share a link with me, I can vet him for the comic!
Tireachan
I‘m not sure if my sona fits in
KirbyTAB
