The Bet 3
🕑 Added 2025-06-06 15:59:38 +0000 UTCJaune should be sleeping or at least preparing for bed, but noooo, he had to sneak out to the library to find that book he had on Doctor Oobleck’s assignment.
He remembered skimming it before being distracted by Team RWBY’s shenanigans, but as he rounded the shelves towards the particular section he last saw the book at, he felt a hand grab his shoulder.
Consider this, it was the dead of the night, he was inside a dark library, alone, and then a hand grabbed his shoulder?
The point was, Jaune should be forgiven for how he reacted.
He didn’t want to admit it, but he screamed like a little girl about to be kidnapped.
Until, of course, he suddenly found a hand covering his mouth.
His eyes widened as he suddenly found himself being pushed around the corner and into the darkness between the shelves.
He didn’t even have time to resists because before he knew it, his face was already being pushed into the books in front of him as a fist pushed its way to where one of his kidneys would be.
Jaune wasn’t proud of it, but he whimpered.
How could he not?
This was straight out of one of his nightmares!
After all, who wouldn’t be scared when they suddenly got pulled into the dark?!
If this was happening in a dark alley, he was sure he was already going to get mugged or worse, have his organs harvested!
As it stood, however, he was in Beacon, and more importantly, he wasn’t being stabbed just yet.
Small mercies, at least because it gave Jaune the opportunity to get his breath back and question his attacker.
“W-Who are you?”
If he was about to be harassed, then he at least wanted to know who was doing the harassing.
The answer to his question came not through words, but by his assailant turning him around and slamming his back on the bookshelf.
“You-You fucking bitch!”
Jaune Arc blinked at the curse as the woman in front of him fumed.
“Blake?” He asked slowly with furrowed brows.
Yup, that’s right.
It was Blake Belladonna.
Cool, beautiful, and quiet Blake Belladonna.
Blake Belladonna whom he had only exchanged a few words with before today.
Yup, that Blake Belladonna.
And now she was cursing at him.
“I knew it was too good to be true!” She seethed.
It was hard to tell in the dark, but he could clearly see Blake’s amber eyes glaring at him.
“What do you mean?” He asked with wide eyes.
This was probably the most emotion he had seen from her, and he couldn’t help but marvel even as her face twisted in fury.
“I just saw you come out of Team CRDL’s room! What? Did you go and brag about Yang?! To that misogynistic, racist, piece of-”
“Woah, woah. No need to shout!” He hissed nervously, looking left and right to see if someone else heard her. “We both know what he is.”
“You mean what you are.” Blake accused, and immediately, Jaune’s eyes blew wide open.
“What?!”
All thoughts of being quiet and being scared of Blake evaporated as he got compared to Cardin.
“Don’t deny it. I heard you.” Blake scoffed before mockingly lowering her tone at him. “Two more, Arc. You’ve still got two more women to go through.”
“You heard that?!” Jaune squeaked out with a pale face, but Blake only growled as she held the collar of his shirt.
“What are women to you, Arc?! Notches in your bedpost? A tally in your perverted to-do list-”
“It’s not like that!” He denied, but Blake would have none of it.
“Then what the hell is it, Jaune?! Because from where I am standing, that is what it actually is.”
Jaune opened his mouth to speak before closing it back up again.
“What? Nothing to say for yourself?” Blake scowled derisively, shaking him as she pushed him back against the shelves.
The shelves shook, but they held. Not like Jaune who just kept on shaking as he watched Blake with horror.
How? How could he even explain everything?
“You are done, Arc. I promise you, you are done. I am telling Yang, I am telling Ruby, and then I am telling Goodwitch-”
“He’s blackmailing me.”
“....What?”
Yeah, that’s right. Blake was already threatening him. What else could he do but tell the truth?
“Let me get this straight. Cardin is blackmailing you to kiss women?” Blake asked incredulously but Jaune only shook his head. “What?”
“No, no, that came from a bet-”
“A bet?! You bet who could kiss more women?!” Blake growled, as Jaune could only groan in frustration.
Him and his big mouth.
“Will you please let me explain?”
“You are on thin ice, Arc. Thin ice.” She poked his chest just to emphasize her point, but she let him continue.
Jaune sighed in relief at that.
Thin ice was better than no ice, after all.
Regardless, he began to speak.
“So .. .first of all, a thing you should know about me is I…..kinda faked my transcripts?”
He squeaked out, nervously wincing as he waited for Blake’s reaction.
“Makes sense.” Blake, however, only nodded gravely.
Jaune paused. Whatever reaction he expected from her, that was not it.
He expected anger, surprise, or even disgust at him. He did not expect her to be dead calm.
Something of his surprise must have shown on his face because an incredulous smile suddenly crawled up Blake’s own face.
“Come now, Jaune. Don’t be so surprised. Surely you didn’t think your lackluster performance during Combat Class wouldn’t be suspicious? Weiss thought you might have come from a low-grade hack of a preparatory academy but you, faking your transcripts, explains as much.”
Jaune blinked as he processed Blake’s words.
“And….that’s it?”
“What is there to say? When it comes to fighting the Grimm, they wouldn’t care about your fake transcripts. Far be it from me to stop you from dedicating your life to a higher purpose.”
Jaune gawked.
A higher purpose?
Was….that it?
Was….his big secret really just out there for Blake to see and belittle?
Was he really letting Cardin have a hold on him for nothing?
Blake didn’t seem to be laughing, joking, or lying. Instead, she looked as serious as ever as she stared coolly at him.
“Though, it still doesn’t absolve you from being a misogynistic, racist-”
“I’m not racist!” He snapped, finally having enough of Blake’s accusations, even as she only raised an eyebrow at him.
“I notice you’re not denying being misogynistic.”
“Urghh!” He groaned, slapping a palm to his face before dragging it down as he looked at Blake tiredly. “That too. I am not that. Arc’s word, Blake. I am neither of those things. My mother raised me better.”
Jaune saw Blake crack a smile at his suffering, and honestly? It was nice to know someone was at least amused by his misery.
He let out a weary smile, even as Blake hummed thoughtfully towards him.
“Hmmm, let’s say I believe you for now. I assume Cardin is using your transcripts to blackmail you?”
“Y-Yeah.” Jaune breathed out, thankful that she was at least willing to hear him out.
“How did he even know?” Blake asked, and Jaune winced as he remembered how this situation began.
“He might have overheard when I told Pyrrha about my transcripts.”
“Pyrrha knows?”
“She does.” Jaune nodded tiredly, getting Blake to tilt her head at him.
“What did she say?” Blake wondered, looking at Jaune with curious amber eyes.
“She offered to train me.” Jaune smiled wryly, remembering that particular night.
He wasn’t proud of how he reacted to Pyrrha, but at the time, he was dealing with feelings of inadequacy. Feelings that have been dwindling day by day as he took on this crazy bet and managed to find out that confidence really was the answer.
And with that confidence, came ambition. The drive to better himself as he silently took on Pyrrha’s offer to train him. There was still no resolution between them, and Jaune could still feel the tension between them due to him being close with Cardin.
He didn’t know how to solve that just yet, but he was hoping to take it one step at a time after dealing with Cardin.
For now, however, he had more pressing problems.
“And the bet?” Blake pushed, and Jaune winced as he struggled to explain things to her.
“That’s….a lot more complicated.”
“Try me.” Blake replied, unimpressed at his non-answer.
Jaune could only groan, however, as he softly banged his head on the books behind him.
“Do you have any siblings, Blake?” He started.
If he was going to explain things, then it was best he started from how he got the idea in the first place.
“I’m an only child. What does this have to do with anything?” She raised an eyebrow, but Jaune only smiled wryly at her.
“Please do remember that I have seven sisters.”
“S-Seven? R-Right, you said something like that earlier.” Blake asked with wide eyes, and Jaune couldn’t help but chuckle at her reaction.
Seeing everyone’s faces after knowing that tidbit about their family never did fail to get a laugh out of him.
“And being the only guy with them, I, of course, was the designated victim.” He added, to which Blake only slowly nodded to.
“Damn. It actually makes me happy that I’m an only child.”
“Damn, indeed.” He chuckled before tilting his head towards her knowingly. “So as the victim of seven people, I hope you know that I have the experience to handle something like Cardin messing with me.”
Blake, however, only narrowed her eyes at him.
“By kissing women.”
“No! I-ugh” He groaned, slapping his face again before pouting at Blake. “I made a deal with Cardin. A bet, so to speak, that if I manage to accomplish it, then I get to live on with my life without Cardin messing with me.”
“I’m still not hearing why you have to kiss women.” Blake insisted, and Jaune only sighed as he shared his view of things.
“Originally, the bet was to kiss Professor Goodwitch.”
Blake’s eyes climbed up her forehead, much like Jaune’s did when he first heard it.
“Wow. Why in the world would he make that the bet?” Blake asked in shock, to which Jaune could only groan in frustration.
“Ugh. I think he wanted to see if Professor Goodwitch would be….willing to entertain students.” He ventured, getting Blake to look at him with comprehension.
“A sacrificial lamb.”
“Yeah, I argued against it, of course. Goodwitch would be more likely to kill me than to kiss me!”
“You’re right. She will kill you.”
“I tried to haggle it down, but Cardin had me bet that I had to kiss a team’s worth of women.” Jaune confessed resignedly, and yet, Blake only narrowed her eyes at him.
“To see who was easy.”
“I wouldn’t put it that way, but yeah.” Jaune winced, but he could not deny Blake’s assessment. Cardin himself had alluded to using him like that.
Still, it being phrased like that left a bad taste in his mouth.
“Look, I didn’t want things to come to that, but it was either that or get blackmailed by Cardin my whole stay here.” He continued, but Blake only raised an eyebrow at him before a wry smile crept up her face.
“And so you chose to kiss four women. I suppose that is better than the alternative, huh, Jaune.”
“I mean, when you put it like that, it still feels like I’m doing something wrong. But hey, it’s not like I’m the only one who is betting something here. I actually got Cardin to promise that if I’m able to do this, then he’d have to apologize to Velvet and stop being a racist.”
“What?”
Jaune watched as Blake blinked in shock, and it was at that moment a small part of his brain registered that out of everything he had said to her tonight, stopping Cardin from being a racist seemed to have the best effect on her.
And so he latched onto it like a drowning man.
“Yeah, so it’s not like I’m just doing this because I want to kiss women. I’m doing it for a good cause.”
Blake, however, only looked at him in disbelief.
“A good cause.” She said slowly, and Jaune wanted to slap himself, because really, what the hell was he even saying?
In his desperation to not have Blake ruin his life, he was overselling it.
And yet….it was not unlike when he kissed Yang.
Back then, he didn’t know what the hell he was saying either. He only let his mouth run off after seeing the opportunity and having no other options left.
And just like before, Jaune leaned into it with full force.
Fake it till you make it, so to speak, and pretty soon, he was speaking with confidence.
“Don’t tell me ending racism isn’t a good cause?” He smiled teasingly, and lo and behold, Blake laughed.
It was small.
It was brittle.
But it was a laugh all the same, and to Jaune, it made her look more beautiful.
“Jaune, let me tell you this. Ending racism is always the right thing to do.” She smiled, and it was as if she knew something he didn’t.
Jaune, however, was already satisfied just to have Blake on the same side as him.
“My thoughts exactly.” He chuckled, watching as Blake peered curiously at him.
And hey, mmaybe with this, she wasn’t going to tell anyone else about the bet.
“You still need two, right?” She asked, and there goes his chance of her ever forgetting about this.
“Yeah.” He slumped bashfully before instantly straightening as a mad thought came through his mind. “Unless, of course, you’d like to help?”
And just like that, the air froze between them.
Jaune could only stay still as he felt the tension spike up like never before.
She was watching him with her captivating yellow eyes, and his eyes widened minutely as he couldn’t help but look at her lips.
It was thin, it was light, and Jaune’s heart almost stopped when her tongue poked out to wet them.
Holy shit.
He can’t believe it.
She was actually considering it.
“I can’t believe it.”
Jaune jolted out of his thoughts as it took some time for him to register that it was Blake who actually spoke.
“Uhm…yeah.” He said dumbly, nodding as heat began to rush up his cheeks at the prospect of what could happen.
“I’m actually considering it.” She muttered, and he gulped as his heart thumped loudly.
He looked at her then, like, really looked at her.
Blake was pretty.
Gorgeous, even.
If Weiss was petite and elegant, then Blake was curvy and sensual. It made Jaune feel a bit bad comparing the two, but as Blake also looked at him up and down, he couldn’t help it.
She looked soft, pliable, but he has watched her enough in Combat Class to know that she was also strong.
Strong enough to beat him to a pulp if she wanted to.
And yet…..that also applied to Yang and look at what Jaune managed to do with her.
And so, with all the bravado he could muster, he smiled winningly at Blake and broke the silence.
“So, want to end racism with me-”
He never had the chance to finish because before he knew it, Blake was already lunging towards him.
Contact.
And then….
She leaned back.
Jaune’s eyes widened, it was quick, it was fast, he didn’t even have the time to savor it but undoubtedly, Blake just kissed him.
He looked at her half-lidded eyes and opened his mouth to speak.
“Blake, what was that-”
Really, Jaune told Yang that the key to a good kiss was the lead up.
And yet here was Blake, proving him wrong.
While a lead up was useful, it was apparently not needed for someone like Blake to take his breath away.
Jaune’s eyes swirled as Blake initiated a stupidly amazing kiss.
She moaned as she pushed him back against the shelves, and their lips crushed against each other as Jaune felt soft, pillowy goodness.
If kissing Yang felt like exploring something new with both of them slowly heating up while pulling and pushing against each other, Blake kissing him felt like he was suddenly thrown into a volcano made of marshmallow.
A weird comparison, but Jaune never claimed to be a poet.
All he knew was that it was warm, soft, and wet at the same time. Their lips lapped at each other, pulling and biting at the same time, as heated breaths formed between them.
Jaune couldn’t help but squeak out, however, as Blake suddenly deepened the kiss for one single moment to entangle her tongue with his.
For someone who looked so cool and quiet, Blake was passionate.
Demandingly so, as she didn’t even give him time to reciprocate.
He was just about to raise his hands to hold her, to kiss back, to do something, anything really, when she pulled back.
“There, that should do it.” She breathed out, even as Jaune gasped for air.
Saliva still connected their lips from one another, and his heart literally skipped a bit when he saw her hand daintily touched her lips.
And just like that, whatever bravado he gathered melted away.
“I…wha…that was-”
“Shhh.” Blake shushed him, and if his heart skipped a bit earlier, then this time, she gave him a heart attack.
“No need to say anything.” She smiled, a smile so soft that Jaune couldn’t help but get lost in it, even as she put a hand to his lips. “Just know we did it for a good cause.”
She giggled, she actually giggled, but Jaune knew that if she wasn’t actually restraining herself, then Blake Belladonna would’ve cackled about something she only knew between them.
Jaune could only stay silent, however, still lost in Blake’s beautiful face even as she smoothened it out near to her usual calm. Try as she might, however, she could not lose the slight tilt of her lip that caused Jaune to smile.
“There, you only need one more from now on, right?”
Jaune jolted at that, and he watched as Blake stepped back away from him. Immediately, he missed the feeling of her body against and his, and just like that, his mind was already working on a solution.
“I don’t think Cardin would believe me if I just told him I kissed someone out of nowhere.” He blurted out, and hey, it was even the truth.
If Cardin believed him on his word alone, then Jaune didn’t really need to kiss girls.
“You’re not just saying that because you want me to kiss you again, are you?” Blake asked skeptically, but Jaune could only blush at that as he rubbed the back of his head.
“I mean….” He trailed off because try as he might, he could not deny it.
He didn’t even have the heart to, because really, it was Blake’s fault.
Why, you ask?
Well, why did she have to go so hard on kissing him in the first place?!
He was entranced, addicted, and he wanted more o9f it.
He blushed as Blake peered at him, thankfully however, she seemed to take his words into account.
“You need evidence then.” She sighed, and Jaune resisted the urge to pump his fist.
Yet something of his excitement must have shown through his face because Blake amusedly shook her head at him.
“A picture, perhaps?”
“Yup.” Jaune squeaked out, smiling from ear to ear as he fished his Scroll out of his pocket.
“Don’t get so excited now.” She laughed, taking the time to put a hand on his chest as his heart beat rapidly.
“I-I can cover your face if you want.” He gulped, as Blake stepped slowly towards him.
Her chest pushed against his, and Jaune had the uncomfortable feeling of hardening as she hummed thoughtfully at him
“Hmmm, we should try that.” She whispered, leaning towards him as her hands touched his face. “For now, let’s find a good angle.”
What happened next would be something Jaune would remember forever.
Her breath ghosted over his, and this….this was what Jaune was telling Yang about.
The lead up.
And here Blake was showing Jaune how devastating it could be.
She leaned up slowly, and just as Jaune was preparing to receive her kiss, she paused.
“Do you think this is a good angle?” She smirked knowingly, inches away from his face as Jaune could only groan in frustration.
She was playing with him.
Torturing him with the anticipation of another wonderful kiss.
He could lean down, sneak a kiss on her beautiful face, but doing so might cause her to pull back, which would lose him the chance to experience that wonderful kiss again.
Her eyes lit up, however, when she saw the desire peeking from him. He had an iron grip on it though, and he only pouted as he stretched his hand with the Scroll sideways.
“Is this good enough?”
“Very.”
And then she took his breath away.
She pressed her lips against his, and Jaune mewled as her tongue poked through his mouth.
“B-Blake, your face.” He gasped through muffled breaths, but Blake only moaned as she continued to kiss him.
Her hands wound through his neck even as she broke their kiss with a gasp.
“Just testing my approach. Is it good enough for you?” She smirked knowingly, and Jaune could only blush as her body molded into his despite the clothes between.
Surely, by now, she could feel how good it was for him.
And she did.
His member poked through his pants and pushed over her belly. All Blake did, however, was gasp lightly at him with a sharp smile on her face.
“Take a picture, Jaune. You deserve a reward for fighting racism.”
Click!
He watched his Scroll take a picture just as Blake approached his neck in full view.
Her pale skin glowed against the dim lighting, and Jaune’s skin tingled from head to toe as her lips made contact with his neck.
“T-Thanks.” He stuttered, breathing heavily as Blake started to kiss his neck.
“No problem. That one’s for you.” She only shrugged, however, before leaning back one final time. “Now cover my eyes. This one is for Cardin.”
Following her order, Jaune raised a hand to cover her eyes, but this time he smiled.
Because this time, he was prepared to kiss back.

Cardin sighed as he laid on his bed while thinking about Jaune’s question.
Did he like someone from Team RWBY?
Yeah, he did.
But it’s not like he was going to tell Jauney-boy that.
No, that shit was staying with him.
He thought about her.
Black hair, yellow eyes, drop dead, gorgeous, and had a great ass?
Yeah, he liked Blake Belladonna because most important of all, she did not yap.
A quiet, hot, sexy woman.
What else could he want-
Ding!
He raised an eyebrow as he lifted his Scroll up to his face.
Jauney-boy?
What’s up with-
“Motherfucker!” He cursed, surprising his team who suddenly looked back at him.
“What’s wrong, man?”
Cardin only seethed as he looked at the picture of Jaune Arc kissing a black-haired woman.
Her face might be hidden but he knew those curls, he knew that bow.
They didn’t even really try to hide her identity, did they?
“Fuck! It’s 3 for 3!” He growled, scowling as bloodshot eyes looked at the picture.
Blake was hot.
Like really really hot.
And there she was, leaning towards Jaune and kissing him like her life depended on it.
Cardin sighed before his nose curled up in disgust.
Fuck, he just got cucked, didn’t he?
By Jauney-boy, no less.
And just like that, any admiration for Blake melted away.
Because really, Cardin did not want anyone’s sloppy seconds.
It didn’t mean he wasn’t going to take revenge, though.
Jaune Arc still had one more person to kiss before winning the bet, but before he could even do that, Cardin was going to mess with him.

So as you may have noticed I have a bit of a little bit if favoritism for Blake. It is not because of her character/personality in the show or anything like that but it's because of a personal reason. She looks like my wife, that's it. And I really, really love my wife and so it is easy for me to remember whatever unholy things she did with me when we were younger.

So I was thinking of writing some smut into this, but I'm kinda torn about it.
I'll let you vote whether you want me to add smut to this story or would it be better staying as kissing only. Let me know what you think in the comments below.

I agree with everyone here, have the epilogue be the smut chapter since a few weeks would have passed, maybe months where Ruby is now sixteen where Jaune can have an orgy with Team RWBY and possibly Pyrrha as well, if she's still alive and the girls have brought her into the fold.

You could always do a smut epilogue. Keep the main story sfw and then have a spicy ending for those enjoy it.
