[Release] Vanilla Christmas Expanded
🕑 Added 2024-12-08 13:44:04 +0000 UTCFestive season is approaching us fast, and I think it’s proper that Vanilla Expanded releases a big mod to celebrate that time. It’s been a very productive year for us, and with some festive content, we get to breathe, enjoy and celebrate this beautiful time of the year.
Vanilla Christmas Expanded is a resurrection of one of our first mods which also shared this title. The goal of the mod is very straight forward: bring festivities to your RimWorld colony. We won’t focus on celebrations of any particular culture or country, and instead plan to bring a lot of unique festive flavor from all around the world.
This mod operates in a form of an Advent calendar. This means that every day, something new will be added, and the description of the mod will be updated with a new infographic, showcasing what was added. This means that if you’re interested, you can come back to the mod description every day to see what new content will appear in your game!
The content will vary - on some days, it will be a small trinket or a decoration, on others, it will be a brand new mechanic or system. Overall, however, this should be a pretty beefy Christmas mod that brings the joy to your game, rewarding you for celebrating it with presents, high spirits and good events.

Maybe a nice cozy fireplace with stockings on it? (I love this mod so far)
Yo Mama
everyone has been playing anomaly. VFE tribals doesnt have much to it other than slowing down a tribal start. Everyone misses medieval, just finish it already

I just found that without Medieval/Vikings the tribal/medieval phase was a blink and you miss it affair.

There will be, of course! Just need a couple of days to update it

This mod is very cute addition to my rimrim time. Might I ask will there be december roadmap?
Oskar Potocki
I always tell people not to wait for some mod to release before they start playing the game! It’s a terrible excuse because you will always find something else to wait for. Base game has a decent tribal start already, plus we have the wild men start in VFE-Tribals!
Robert McPherson
I just hope Medieval 2 has been chugging away in the background... been taking a step back until it's done 'cos I've found the tribal starts are the ones I enjoy the most.

This is nice. I love this!

Such a nice idea. Thanks for that :)

Been a rough year, this seems like a nice and cheerful mod to ring in the new one with

Of course we will leave it up!

Hey this might be a stupid question but are you guys planning to leave this up after christmas or is it a limited time thing? I'd love to switch to santa whenever its decemberary each year and just take a break from the constant colony deaths and sadness for a month. Great mod btw happy holidays =D

It's difficult to enjoy Christmas in Australia where it's summer and I'm being boiled alive in my computer room. But, at least my pawns will be happy.
