20th: Acer Helios Neo 16 Review
23rd: ASUS ROG Ally + RTX 4090 Mobile
I had originally only planned that one Ally video, as they wanted it back Monday (today, the courier literally just collected it!) but I instead worked all weekend to get another one done for next week.
This weeks Ally video focusses on the XG Mobile, and seeing how far we can push the Ally with comparisons against high end desktop and laptop GPUs. Next weeks Ally will be more about comparing the $700 handheld console against a $700 gaming laptop.
Now that that's done, I'm going to start working on a mid-year "best of" gaming laptop video talking about what's good so far out of what we've tested.
We also received the new Razer Blade 14 on Friday and started testing that today, and HP's Omen Transcend 16 arrived from the US on Saturday which we've also just opened up.
Those are new, but I still have the Lenovo Legion Slim 7i, XMG Neo 16, ASUS Strix G16, and Gigabyte G5 in my queue to work through. Even if nothing else turned up we've got enough stuff here to make videos until mid August, so there's definitely a lot to do!
Oh and I locked in a desktop RTX 4060 card today, I really want to do the laptop vs desktop comparison with that ASAP because based on the specs they're more or less the same. Perhaps laptops will finally have desktop level performance! 😅
