A few notes on the code 1. I think at some point the code was mangled by some of the special characters like _ being treated as markdown (discord could do this, if it ever was pasted and copied from there). All the places you see italics something garbled it and it looks a little silly from a programmer POV 2. An interesting quirk about the code as written, is that it's heavily implied that you can gain more than +1 LF for a single event. If the code works precisely as you intended, i would have to assume that's some kind of plot hint 3. What appears to be the 'record keeping' part of the code would only trigger once when reaching the threshold pre-determined amount of LF, not any time LF is increased 4. get_hidden_modulus is a bit wonky, the 'or 7' part is a syntax error (in any language i know), an 'or' statement would not be appropriate for what this function is attempting. Then, regardless of what the sum() function returns, the modulo is going to be a value between 0-6, which changes depending on the value of affinity. My best takeaway from what the function reads is that there isn't a fixed threshold but the threshold changes based on her affinity, and the modulo will never be above 6. 5. If we take 'vital_tag' and 'affinity' to be plot important and changing values, the implication on the code is that there isn't really a threshold LF that pandy must reach, but a more chaotic and random combination of these 3 attributes that need to line up correctly. In a sense, this obfuscates the nature of the system, which maybe is the intent. That could make sense if the purpose of these values is specifically to obfuscate the threshold LF value (which would imply that there's a secret connection between these 3 values and they and dependent on each other), but if that's not the case then it just implies there's chaos for when the condition triggers and pandy could theoretically grind LF forever without triggering the threshold if 'vital_tag' and 'affinity' are also changing along the way as for if it should stay in or not, i feel like if it's included it should either be accurate from an earth programming standard, or IMO better yet be written in such an abstract way it's clear to the tech knowledgeable reader that earth programming rules and syntax do not fully apply.

Okay, disclaimer: I am NOT a programmer, so I did use ChatGPT to generate this code. I could probably have Keros just tell her about it, but I like actually having it in there. What do you think? Should I take it out? I spent a few hours today trying to get exactly what I was going for, so there was absolutely author work involved 😅
