Poll for the 7.4.0 EliteMobs update!
🕑 Added 2022-03-31 03:55:56 +0000 UTCHello supporters,
I'm wrapping up everything for the month - Primis release, EliteMobs arenas release & some other stuff that will bleed into early next month - and realized that I have not even started the 7.4.0 poll yet!
Here are this cycle's voting possibilities:
1) The Instanced Dungeons update
These would be instanced dungeons which would limit the amount of players that can go in at a time. They are meant to be linear and story-focused. This also means some of them will be locked out based on level or quest requirements.
Like the arenas, at least for now they will work on a single instance basis, meaning you can't have more than one of each specific dungeon running at the same time.
2) The Creators update
This is a new one I just came up with after spending several hours hitting my head against a wall. Creating a custom boss for elitemobs is easy. Creating a custom item for elitemobs is easy. Creating a quest for elitemobs is easy. Creating dozens of each is miserably time consuming, trust me - this month I made over 100 custom bosses (between primis and the arena).
This update would finally come up with a quick, easy, intuitive and scalable solution for generating elitemobs config files. Presets, item linking and other tooling would make creating dungeons something you can do in an hour instead of a couple of days.
Right now the idea is to make a new webapp that would work very differently from the current one, but the specifics are still a little bit up in the air.
This would ultimately increase the quality of the dungeons as it would make their creation far more streamlined.
3) 10 New Powers update
Simpler to describe, this update would bring 10 new elite powers to the plugin. These would be high quality memorable powers like shield wall or bullet hell. These can then be applied to any custom boss, past or future.
4) 10 New Custom Enchantments update
Similar to the 10 powers, this would add custom enchantments. Custom enchantments in EliteMobs are currently underdeveloped, and there are some pretty cool ideas that could be added which would fundamentally change how players do combat in EliteMobs.
