I started a game studio! & some more info
🕑 Added 2022-08-08 15:56:39 +0000 UTCThis is a little something I've been toying around in the background with for the past few months.
I have now officially registered the trademark Nightbreak! This will be the banner under which I and people I might come to hire will work under moving forward.
I also got the amazing nightbreak.io website and got myself a custom email to boot, so you know I am a big business guy doing big business moves!
In all seriousness, as I widen my scope of activity into other plugins (and eventually other games, some day, I swear) and start working more closely with more people it started feeling like a brand that isn't just me was necessary, and now we have it!
I'll also take this opportunity to announce here that I will be working with FrostCone starting around the 15th to help speed up the releases for EliteMobs, BetterStructures and eventually FreeMinecraftModels & more! In a perfect world this will be a permanent arrangement and FrostCone will become a force multiplier for the things that I do. Even if it isn't, their help will be greatly appreciated and will allow me to focus more on the code and the greater picture while increasing the total output of content I release for the time they'll be around.
There's a few other things that I want to mention while I'm at it. I have cleaned up the Patreon page so you can view all of the dungeons under a single filter, all BetterStructures packs under another filter and so on. This should hopefully make it an easier browsing experience for you.
I will be tweaking the Patreon and Discord pages to include references to Nightbreak (already spoke to some artists for logos and a really cool cyberpunk owl mascot!). You will notice that the Discord server got renamed to Nightbreak. It felt weird to direct people from BetterStructures to a discord called EliteMobs when really at this point it is the support server for 4 different plugins and counting.
EliteMobs 8.0 is moving along much faster than initially predicted, to the point where I am confident in saying that the first public release will be done this week and should actually be right around the corner. It will not include instanced dungeons yet, although work for that is already under way and I hope to start testing it next week.
Thanks to your support, the future is looking bright! The popularity of the projects is on the rise, and this is allowing me to make significant investments back into them.
I truly hope you will enjoy all the content I have currently in the works. Honestly, the scope of what I have planned right now would've been unthinkable even just a few months ago, and I seriously think that I will be able to deliver some top notch content thanks to everyone's support.
Anyhow, I am starting to ramble. I better go back to preparing 8.0.
Happy adventuring,
- MagmaGuy, Nightbreak CEO ;)
PS: I am making some Nightbreak t-shirts and stuff for myself, I don't particularly think anyone else would be interested but hey if you are let me know here or on Discord and I will see if it's worth setting something up publicly. Seriously doubt it though.
