Sanctum | The Frost Palace Alpha
🕑 Added 2022-09-22 02:08:09 +0000 UTCVideo contains the installation and a showcase of the fight, though no "real" combat (I was just showing off the features)!
Guys, it's been a long time coming. People have been asking about instanced dungeons ever since BEFORE the first version of dungeons were out, years ago.
Today, I release the alpha for the first instanced dungeon - specifically a Sanctum, which is the Lair category of instanced content.
Say hello to the Frost Palace.
A lot of love went into making this encounter, and we are not done yet.
Dalio, who made most of the BetterStructures build, made the 6 different stages on which the fight happens.
Agnet 75 made the custom soundtrack. There are 4 tracks + 1 transition in this fight, which evolve with the fight.
And finally, I did the software, scripting, encounter design and concept and everything else.
I am honestly incredibly happy with how things are looking. This boss will get some custom powers, for which I am developing two whole new categories of powers and a whole new kind of script, on top of it already being the reason elite scripts exist.
Please keep in mind that this boss will have more than one custom model.
Today's update was actually massive and will deeply change how EliteMobs can be played, officially allowing people to focus on dps or tanking in meaningful ways.
Expect more news real soon, as well as a lot of videos explaining how features work.
Map details:
1 boss, 7 phases
No loot currently in the alpha
7 different stages
Custom soundtrack by Agnet 75
