An important poll about combat

I have an important question for EliteMobs that needs careful consideration.
We are currently working on truly advanced combat mechanics, challenges where mechanics must be mastered and gear acquired to have a chance to actually beat the bosses.
However, we are still doing this in Minecraft, and that comes with its own challenges. We are modelling the encounters after MMORPG systems, and we already have the first implementation of DPS and tank roles, but we are now facing a complicated issue: health & healing.
By default, Minecraft players have 20 hp. This is a tiny amount of HP, and it is very hard to work with. To make things worse, players can heal very quickly even without the help of potions or other players.
This gives a very small window in which EliteMobs combat is viable, but it is not impossible to tune for.
However, with the addition of tank and healer roles, we find ourselves at a complicated crossroad, one that doesn't really have that many obvious solutions.
Option 1) Keep it as is
The first option is the simplest one, but it greatly limits the complexity of combat we are able to do in the future. Simply put, this will mean we will not be adding a healer role, as there is simply no space for it within the margins of Minecraft combat. The advantages of this is keeping things closer to "vanilla", as well as making the system as a whole a bit more compatible with third party plugins and simpler for players to understand, since it's less complex.
Option 2) Make instanced combat special
The second option is quite complex, but removes the limitations we currently have for instanced combat. This option would drastically change combat but only while in EliteMobs instances. Basically everything would be the same, but when players enter an EliteMobs instance they would get a much larger health pool and almost entirely cut off natural health regeneration.
Option 3) ElitePlayers
So this option follows the age old request that people have been asking for almost ever since I started working on EliteMobs: me making a MCMMO/AureliumSkills-like plugin to accompany EliteMobs.
Now, I'm going to be honest: I don't know that this is a good idea. Several plugins out there already do things similar to this, and while this would certainly give me the biggest amount of freedom to make boss fights, it would also be extremely time consuming to make, and there would be no guarantee that people would want to use it.
Still, it is something I will at least consider if the community as a whole wants it.

Take my server as an example, currently compatible with AureliumSkills, but players always want me to find plugins that can put attack skills. since the big update, the time to beat the king has been shortened, They miss the fun of fighting slowly and supporting each other with the Boss in their early years, since the occupation is not fixed, the "option 2" will be a good choice, and everyone can freely discuss the division of labor, but this is just my situation here, for reference.

Maybe with the 2nd option we will get rid of the potions with regeneration 3, which make users almost immune against attacks from other players? It would be nice to keep the Elite advantages against Elites mobs (as it is being partially done). I for one disarm players who attack with Elite stuff on others.
