EM+BS updates! And a small devlog.
🕑 Added 2023-05-09 22:34:03 +0000 UTCEliteMobs has updated, fixing a number of reported bugs. More importantly, BetterStructures has updated, adding MythicMobs and MMOItems integration to the plugin thanks to the code contributions of CarmJos!
Somehow, this has only been a part of what I've been working on lately. I got very caught up with working on a standalone game prototype, far more so than I thought I would (to the point of not sleeping, really).
It doesn't look like much right now, as I am still trying to lean how godot 4 works and trying not to suck at 3d modelling.

The prototype is a base survival game. It's trying to be my own little mix of They Are Billions with a small amount of Factorio mixed into it. A lot of time was spent optimizing it to the point where it usually holds 60fps with over 2-4k units (over 10k without collisions on), although much of the more expensive AI behaviors are not yet done.
I don't really know if you guys would be interested in me keeping you posted about this, as it is a new project going in a radically different direction. Believe it or not I do have some planned overlap with some of the things I have planned for Minecraft, although it is certainly going to be hard to make it all work together.
I do want to make a few videos of the game dev process, as I love that kind of video and I think I could make something interesting. Let me know what you think!
With regards to our regularly scheduled content, we have a lot of people working on a lot of different things right now, and I believe we will start seeing some very big releases in the second half of this month.
As previously mentioned, now that EliteMobs seems decently stable and that BetterStructures got some love, I will probably be focusing the development part of things on EternalTD. If you know what that is, look forward to it, if you don't, you're about to find out what a tower defense game in Minecraft looks like!
Happy adventuring,
