Hehe. Ok! I spent the chapter expecting The Princess to say "You will be mine" to Nat because he has some fancy blood and bicoloured eyes. I was a bit regretful, thinking the title revealed too much. Well, it seems I briefly forgot why I enjoy this novel so much. Things do not go simply with Cerim. They certainly don't follow the shortest, straightest path. The moment you get comfortable and complacent, you get a shovel to the face. Pay attention! Anything can happen. I won't write my admiration every chapter so as not to scare people, but good grief, this series really towers over the rest.

This kind of checks out, the lycan was able to move and fight through the tutorial mind-blanking by sheer instinct, he kind of sounds like god-level Jake from Primal Hunter. You can't mind-control someone that doesn't need to use their head in the first place, and I guess taken to the extreme, even a finger can't be controlled like that, or even instinctively rejects the control.

I'm thinking it's more that the energy in the hand it was so potent that it took over the deer. I'm sure we will get some more info on it soon. It also shows that there are consequences to the actions they take when they are being a bit greedy

Ngl guys, I’m struggling with this. A dead deer that got easily clapped by tutorial kids just casually plucks the head off of an ancient, planet-destroying entity? All because it ate a few powerful fingers? Greatly enjoying everything so far, just struggling with this one a little.
