General Update #2
🕑 Added 2022-03-07 12:10:21 +0000 UTCGoing to start numbering these general updates just for consistency. A lot of the work lately has been almost nothing but art-related. I don't consider myself the an artist so it's taking a little longer than I'd care to admit. I do have a couple actual artist friends I can seek for guidance so I do have some amount of help, but I'll let you know currently what I'm working on.
It's what I'm going to consider the first main hub of the game that'll lead off into several other areas of the castle. Because this is going to be an area you'll see often I want it to look impressive, and for a center piece I decided to include a very very large statue. That's what's mostly been taking up my limited time on this project, designing that, as because it's so large I can't depend on tiny pixels to kind of bypass finer details. That being said, I'm down to the final part which is shading and it's taking the most time. Once that's complete I can work on the rest of the hub which should hopefully not take anywhere near as long as this statue is.
