UPDATE: 0.5.1
🕑 Added 2020-07-08 00:16:08 +0000 UTCHey everyone!
Here we go again, huh? I have to say, I was quite happy to see the amount of engagement on that last poll. It wasn’t complete engagement of course, but it was a higher percentage than the presidential election gets, so I’ll take it :) For those of you who have never voted before, I hope you enjoyed having your say in the direction of the updates, and be sure to let me know if this is something you would like to see more of.
In case you haven’t been paying attention, I’d like to reveal the winner of the poll… You chose… (drumroll)… WILL! That’s right, even after adjusting for gold patrons, the results were very clear, and it was a landslide victory for the ill-tempered Adonis (was there ever any doubt?).
Talking about this update… I can’t really talk about it… Yeah, that’s right, it’s always tough to introduce the update, without actually spoiling it right from the jump. So I’ll say this… There’s ‘gym stuff’ happening on Tuesday and Wednesday. On the beta path, a decision made on Tuesday will affect the path you reach on Wednesday. The reason I mention it specifically is because the decision may be a little counterintuitive, so be sure to test out both options. Because Will is connected to the gym, his path is somewhat intertwined with the coach’s path, so that got a bit messy, but bear in mind that the coach stuff is still incomplete.
Other than that, I put in some work on the transitions because I can’t bear to see all those blank spaces in the game. At the moment, they are mostly developed, but still lacking the extra touches to get them where they need to be. That may be confusing so here’s an example: In week one, every morning has a different scene (interacting with the alarm clock, etc), and that’s something I intend to continue with in week 2, because I find it a charming diversion from the hectic main plot. For now, the week 2 mornings are all identical (depending on your TF), as those extra variations aren’t critical to the story. I want to dedicate the bulk of my time to moving things forward, rather than attaching pretty bells and whistles to existing content. I hope that makes sense.
