In a hidden cave, Entei gently placed Jack onto a large rock, its expression filled with concern for Jack's current weak state.
"I... I feel like I'm about to die," Jack lay motionless on the rock, his eyelids so weak they seemed unable to open.
"Can you still use Recover? Rumor has it you can use all Pokémon moves."
"But I... I'm too weak to use any moves. Now... even speaking is... extremely difficult."
"I see."
Entei anxiously paced in circles inside the cave, thinking of other ways to help Jack. Just then, Jack spoke again.
"Entei, right now... there's only one way to save me."
"What way? Senior, please tell me quickly. I will definitely help you achieve it."
As the most enthusiastic Pokémon among the Legendary Beasts, Entei immediately became excited upon hearing there was still a way to heal its senior. However, what it didn't know was that Jack, seeing its excited demeanor, was secretly overjoyed, not expecting it to be so easily fooled.
"Find Ho-Oh... as long as Ho-Oh takes action, I can definitely be healed," Jack said feebly.
"Senior Ho-Oh?" Entei was startled; its excited expression suddenly turned troubled.
Seeing its reaction, Jack frowned and propped himself up, asking, "What's wrong? Aren't you, Suicune, and Raikou its emissaries placed in the world to observe humans? Summoning it should be easy for you."
After speaking, Jack quickly lay back down on the rock, feigning a dying state. Fortunately, Entei, caught in its predicament, didn't turn to look at him. Otherwise, he might have been suspected.
"No, Senior Mew, it's not that I don't want to contact Senior Ho-Oh. It's just that although we three are its emissaries, we cannot directly contact it. We can only see it when it awakens from its slumber to inspect the world and summons us."
Entei lowered its head, not daring to face Jack. After all, it had just promised to help with any method, only to be immediately contradicted.
Hearing Entei's explanation, Jack couldn't help but purse his lips, sighing inwardly. One of the main reasons he feigned this dying state was to see if he could trick Entei into summoning Ho-Oh, then seize the opportunity to capture it with a Poké Ball. If that happened, not only would he have captured Entei and Ho-Oh, but Suicune and Raikou could also be considered his subordinates.
"Then..." Jack snapped back to reality, ready to speak again and ask Entei to summon Suicune and Raikou, but he choked on the first word. Because Entei had already vanished from the cave.
"Damn it! Did it sense something and run away?"
Jack was so angry he almost spat blood. If Entei really ran, he would definitely slap himself. He tried to trick it and ended up losing more than he gained. Why bother trying to trick it into summoning Ho-Oh? It would have been better to just throw a Poké Ball and capture it first. Although this might lead to disobedience after capture, it would still be better than getting nothing.
However, this feeling of frustration didn't last long, as Jack suddenly sensed Entei's aura again. Soon, outside the cave, Entei led a group of Pokémon inside. There were Nidoking, Nidoqueen, Vileplume, Kangaskhan, Ursaring, and other Pokémon. But these weren't the most important; the most important were the two Miltank that also walked in.
The moment Jack saw the two Miltank, a sense of unease immediately arose in his heart. Immediately after, he saw Entei leading the two Miltank to the rock where he was lying.
"Senior, their milk has healing properties. Try drinking it to see if it helps you."
Jack's face froze, and cold sweat dripped down his cheeks. Especially when the two Miltank surrounded him, one on each side, mooing, the cold sweat was most abundant. He was a human; how could he lie on two Pokémon and drink their milk?
"Entei... no need... Senior, I suddenly feel much better than before. It seems I'll be able to use Recover again soon."
Jack was terrified and quickly got up, wanting to prove that his body was much better. But a pair of hooves was clearly faster than him. With a 'thump,' the Miltank on the left suddenly embraced him. Without giving him any chance to refuse, it fed him its milk. Jack's eyes widened, and he immediately started making muffled noises.
Entei, seeing this scene, nodded contentedly. Then it saw Jack constantly waving his hand at it, thinking he was inviting it to drink together.
"Senior, you can drink all this milk yourself. The more you drink, the faster you'll recover. If it's not enough, I can find a few more for you," Entei said in an understanding, kind-hearted tone.
Jack kept shaking his head. In fact, he wanted to express that he was fine and that the Miltank should get lost. He truly felt like dying right now. He really wanted to undo his transformation and tell Entei that he was human, but if he did that, a loyal and honest tough guy like Entei would definitely feel deeply betrayed and hate him. Even if captured with a Poké Ball, it probably wouldn't obey him.
"It's a good thing Mew isn't here, otherwise my reputation in its eyes would be completely ruined." Jack sighed inwardly; this was his only consolation. If Mew saw him in his current state, he might as well just die; it would be absolute social death.
However, perhaps thoughts in the night lead to dreams in the day. Or perhaps the flag was raised too early. Or even more likely, an inexplicable force in the netherworld had taken effect. Less than three seconds after Jack's thought arose, outside the cave, a Salamence suddenly rushed in, its expression agitated.
"Master, I followed your aura and finally found..."
Its voice stopped abruptly, unfinished. The Salamence stared wide-eyed at the Mew lying on the Miltank, drinking milk. Its shock was evident on its face.
And the Mew lying on the Miltank, drinking milk, looking at the suddenly rushing Salamence, felt its entire body heat up intensely. That feeling of shame, embarrassment, awkwardness, mortification, and wanting to die—in short, a series of such emotions—instantly surged into his heart. The scene became utterly silent for a moment.
