"I'm sorry."
With a sense of guilt, Entei whispered in its heart, then turned and ran towards the cave where Mew was... Meanwhile, high in the sky, more than ten miles away, Jack was soaring through the skies, looking at the relentless pursuers behind him. A hint of mockery couldn't help but appear at the corner of his mouth.
Catch me? You're dreaming.
After a while, Jack couldn't help but murmur, "However, Entei should be feeling very guilty towards me now, even if this method is a bit devious."
That's right, everything he said to Entei earlier was calculated. His goal was to create an image of himself as someone willing to sacrifice everything, even his life, to protect Mew. Because he believed that for a Pokémon like Entei, with its strong sense of honor and duty, such words would elevate his status in its heart, perhaps even to the level of Ho-Oh.
More importantly, a Pokémon like Entei would definitely be torn internally because of his words, faced with a dilemma between saving him and not saving him. If it saved him and followed, he would still try to drive it away, telling it that it would endanger itself and Mew, making all his efforts in vain. If it chose not to save him, that would be the best outcome for him, because he believed Entei would then carry a sense of guilt for not saving someone in need. This guilt would weigh heavily on a Pokémon that likes to protect the weak.
So, as long as it felt this guilt, when he returned to its presence later, even if he forcibly captured it with a Poké Ball, its resistance would not be as great; instead, it would gradually accept and obey his words. Because he had already established himself as an unparalleled good master in its heart...
As Jack was contemplating his somewhat cunning tactics, he suddenly felt a wave of heat coming from ahead. He immediately snapped back to reality and looked. The next second, Jack's pupils contracted. Because directly in front of him, a Charizard and a Flygon had appeared at some point, both Pokémon using Flamethrower on him. Those two beams of Flamethrower were only half a meter away from him at that moment.
Fortunately, he reacted in time. Jack quickly used Teleport, instantly moving from his previous position to ten meters ahead to his left, continuing his escape. At the same time, he condensed an Aura Sphere in his hands, turned around, and threw it at the previous location of Charizard and Flygon.
After fleeing for ten minutes, ten more Pokémon appeared in front of Jack. Five to the northwest, and five to the northeast, seemingly intending to sandwich him with the guys behind.
"Mew, give up resisting. You have nowhere left to run." From behind, the Dragonite Youth stood with his hands on his hips, laughing excitedly, looking as if he was about to become Mew's master.
Jack looked back, cursed him as an idiot in his heart, and then plunged downwards. Because he saw a cave entrance in the mountain range directly below.
The Dragonite Youth's laughter abruptly stopped. He immediately ordered his team to split up and chase, letting one group continue to pursue Jack, and the other group to follow the mountain range, find the exit, and block it, strictly preventing Mew from escaping...
"It's a bit bright here. Is a Pokémon using a Shine move?"
Rushing into the cave in the mountain, Jack was a bit surprised at first glance, because he initially thought it would be pitch black inside, but he didn't expect it to be quite bright. Such distracting thoughts didn't linger in Jack's mind for long. After all, his most urgent task now was to quickly shake off the guys chasing him.
Before long, as Jack floated to a pool of water inside the cave, an idea struck him. He first glanced around, and after confirming no one was present, he quickly transformed into a middle-aged man who looked like an adventurer. Then he stood still and waited. After waiting for less than five seconds, he heard footsteps.
Jack began to shout loudly: "Is anyone there! Someone, quick! Trainers with Water-type Pokémon, hurry over!"
In less than three seconds, a group of people rushed in front of Jack. Leading them was the Dragonite Youth who wanted to catch him.
The Dragonite Youth urgently asked, "Uncle, did you see Mew? Where is it? Tell me quickly."
"How do you know I saw Mew?" Jack feigned a very surprised look.
"Stop talking nonsense, tell me where Mew is!" The Dragonite Youth grabbed Jack's collar fiercely and demanded.
"It... it rushed into this pool. I was just calling for Trainers with Water-type Pokémon to come quickly and capture it," Jack said nervously.
Upon hearing this, the Dragonite Youth immediately pushed Jack away, took out a Poké Ball, and pressed the switch. A red light flashed, and a Golduck was released.
"Golduck, Mew is in this pool. Chase it quickly, don't let it get away!" The Dragonite Youth ordered, then looked behind him. Those people all released their respective Water-type Pokémon. Two seconds later, led by Golduck, a group of Water-type Pokémon dove into the water.
After they entered, Jack leaned close to the Dragonite Youth again: "Hey, if you catch Mew, can I take a photo with it as a souvenir?"
The Dragonite Youth glanced at Jack, snorted coldly, and then sneered, "You? Do you think you're worthy of a photo with Mew? Get lost! Get out of my sight, this isn't a place for someone like you."
"How can you say that, kid!" Jack grew anxious upon hearing this and was about to argue with the Dragonite Youth. But the next second, he felt the cold stares of the people behind the Dragonite Youth. It was as if he would be severely beaten if he said one more word. Jack sighed and stood silently in a corner, waiting without a word.
But he had only stood for a few seconds when the Dragonite Youth pointed at him and said to the people behind him, "You few, throw him out."
One minute later, no matter how much Jack begged to stay, he was ultimately thrown out of the cave. "Get out! If you dare to come in again, I'll break your legs." As he was thrown out, the young man who threw him also insulted him.
Jack was helpless and could only feign a look of frustration, then left reluctantly. However, as he moved further and further away from the cave, Jack's frustrated expression gradually began to turn into suppressed laughter. It wasn't until he was about a kilometer away that Jack finally couldn't hold back and burst into laughter.
Those idiots, you know, they were really easy to trick.
