Closest documentary cartoon I can think of is any of CREATURE COMFORTS series by Aardman (Wallace and gromit/ chicken run) that takes real interviews with people and then they animate animals talking instead (man being interviewed at wine tasting becomes dog being interviewed as he’s sniffing another dogs ass)
