This was extremely fun to make because we did the songwriting process in the reverse of what I'm used to: I wrote lyrics and a melody, and he wrote the music behind it. It's always fun to have chords in my head as I write it, only to be COMPLETELY surprised to hear how it turns out when Louie arranges it (his version is shifted two beats from how I originally planned it, and it makes it EXTRA groovy). It's my favorite part of making music with people.
This will be going up on YouTube on Monday to help publicize the fact that the Brian Louie Ian Band concert got moved to a LARGER VENUE, and there are plenty of tickets available for the 6:30pm and 9:30pm show! We are super excited about the bigger venue, and we're rehearsing a LOT. It was extremely cool to sell out the first venue, and I cannot wait to perform our songs live.
(p.s. Going forward, I'm planning to upload the BTS/Blooper Footage/Music/Scripts when the video goes live on YouTube. I'm still catching up on the videos from the break, which will most likely be uploaded sometime after the concert, when I have a little more time!)
