a BETTER Way to Paint Warhammer! or Anything Else REAL TIME
🕑 Added 2023-08-03 19:00:05 +0000 UTCAaaaand here is the real time footage!!!
I had a bunch of fun with this one, that even if painted for pure fun, it has lights that are technically more advanced and better executed then the ones of the angel's bust that took a medal in Master at the World Model Expo lol!
A little extra that I had to cut from the script about not using gaming bases for your models:
"As soon as the artistic side of the hobby starts prevailing in your flow and the needs of a stronger accent on storytelling begin to move your hand, you understand how crucial the framing of the model can be in selling a situation, a mood and the sense of a cinematic scene and this kind of fine tuning and control is totally lost in the natural, 360 degrees movement of a round gaming base that is meant to be constantly in motion and to be uniformly seen in the infinite potential angles of an active game and always with a consistent look. Sure you can pose your model on its best side for a picture, but in person, it will always lack a more controlled and modelled kind of focus.
Plus, more subtle, but super powerful for the in person experience, a chunky, angular plinth is also able to change how the viewer physically handles the model because the hands will automatically turn the piece around following the clicks of the faces of the base, making the viewing experience and the jumping between focal points move on quote unquote “rails” that YOU set with your composition."
Enjoy and have a great weekend!!! <3
