vonBiomes 9.0.8b Special Release - Polishing Update with many fixes and a complete mission locator overhaul!
🕑 Added 2022-09-30 18:04:47 +0000 UTCHey, dear Mod Supporters!
Today the work on a new build for Space Port City has been finished, addressing many mission bugs reported by the Beta Tester crew on Discord. Basically, it meant going once more through every one of the over 90 tiles to fine-tune positions, move markers around and fix locators one by one. During a modding night session, I found out who to display and preview the locators in a map tile to actually see what is going on, and this knowledge is worth gold!
In the course of this step, I also went through all special tiles that appear on the various biomes and, with the lessons learned, updated also all locators and spawners there.
Quite a ride with doing modding sessions on every possible opportunity during September to get things stable in all kinds of procedural dice roll situations. Now I also better understand why PGI only builds new biomes based on the already existing tilesets simply due to how (freakin') much time it takes. So vonBiomes includes the first new tileset in Mechwarrior 5 since its release!
The Discord beta testers, who are doing a tremendous job, by the way, will now have another round to find unseen issues, and if nothing major is discovered, the release will be around mid-October - finally ;)
I will also upload a gallery in a second post, showing some example tiles of the process. Enjoy this new Mod version; thanks for your support and contributions - and have fun wrecking Space Port City!
