Solaris VII - vonMissions Mod Update: 2nd Arena done and further progress! (Download included)
🕑 Added 2023-05-29 02:12:01 +0000 UTCDear Patreon Supporters,
Here is a new Early Access version for the Solaris VII mech gladiator games, and it features already a 2nd Arena: The Marik Factory!
Mod v0.2 Downloads:
OneDrive: https://1drv.ms/u/s!AvPmUYHEcNJx0hapjPVXKkuH58ve?e=j5pbUv
Mega: https://mega.nz/file/tL1RBQYA#pzCIaC-TQG-3zIAejTDOQ9DH4gYCr9OWB73Vi71b6Uc
Sidenote: Solaris 7 uses some vonBiomes assets to not bloat stuff, so when not running vB along, then there can be some objects and textures missing - please be sure to have also vonBiomes in your mod list if possible!:)
The arenas feature now some more custom-build models, including the Marik eagle and Mechwarrior 4 inspired column structures in the Steiner Coliseum. Further progress includes the set-up for custom "Unit Cards", which allows configuring unique paint jobs and colours for every mech. Moreover, the other gladiators have a little improved accuracy, making the arenas a more dangerous place.
If you have played the 1st version already, you can access the new Arena also in Instant Action now under "Scenarios", or start a new Career with some light mechs to instantly jump to the Solaris system and join the games!
And a trick I should have thought of before: be sure to make a save game at Solaris 7 before you go into the 1st fight – by that you can replay upcoming updates more easily later on.
I also made a quick update video today while doing test runs, and I put it on my YouTube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QIYLAu39tEk - Spoiler alert: it does not end well for my nimble Wolfhound mech;)
Next steps:
Building the 3rd arena is now at the focus, each house has one major arena on Solaris VII, like Davion owns the Holographic-improved "Boreal Reach", "the Jungle" by Liao, and Kurita's cave-like "The Iron Mountain".

Which one do you want to see next?
Please leave your feedback in the comments! ;)
Thank you all for making building Solaris VII possible, I am having quite a blast designing the arena levels and learning more about how things work in Mechwarrior 5's unreal engine setup in the process.
And as usual: welcome to the new supporters! :) Join up on Discord and leave me message that you come from Patreon - I will add your user role for special access to the special WIP channel, where I post ongoing screenshots and progress updates! Invite: https://discord.gg/4QrScjva5k
Cheers!
