Coming from a mom who bore 5 girls and 1 boy.I raised them right!! You would never see my girls twerking. When I do see a full grown women inappropriately dressed with her ass cheeks hanging out. I point to her and say loudly n clear to my kids to never dress that way. She clearly forgot to put her clothing on over her underwear. It humiliates that adult. I agree with poor parenting. I was born in 81. So, being 41, I can tell you if I acted the way society acts now, my ass would have been beat. My parents did not tolerate nonsense. I always say (and I will always state), that as a Gen X'er, I truly feel blessed that I grew up in the late 70s & early 80s onwards and was privy to Break-dancing/Electro & Hip Hop and everything else that rocked culturally through that decade onwards through to the rave culture of the 90s here in the UK, all pre-mobile (cell) phone and internet. And at nearly 48, I'm still young enough to get on board with the times and technology. But the ongoing clusterfuck of what laughably passes off as 'popular culture' today, truly leaves me along with I'm sure many of your viewers baffled at how low the bar keeps sinking. I mean, just the rehashed, auto-tuned and overly-compressed ('cos we're apparently ALL DEAF NOWADAYS!) hot garbage that gets shat out by some talentless hacks on the daily that gets millions of hits etc? Unreal. And I can almost emphatically tell you that EVEN IF we'd had all of this shit 30 years ago when I was a teen? I'd have STILL avoided the likes of Tik-Tok and Instagram like airborne AIDS.

This is exactly why my husband and I have thought of moving to another country. We have 3 kids who are homeschooled and they have rarely seen this side of our culture yet. Briefly they have seen women with some cheap, patent leather outfits on and they said they needed new clothes. You really need to love yourself to have children nowadays. If not they learn to consume anything and constantly seek out validation from others.
