Love the time skip. Keep it up

Jorge

Personally I like the time skip. To many stories get bogled down by draging things.

Okay, so I was in the “skeptical about time skip” camp, I’ll admit it, but I decided to wait a week or two and let chapters build up and give it a real chance. I can already tell I’m over it, loving the new story, and I get that academy as a plot device is pretty limiting. Totally sold, looking forward to how this develops

Adom Smasher, eh Don’t know how I feel about all this curb stomping. It’s not inconsistent with the end of book 2, and he’s had 5 more years to develop … but what are the stakes now? What is stopping Adom from flying to Farmus and ending the war with a massacre or two? Also is it just me, or chapters are actually getting awfully short?

Also, he called them elites. Even if he doesn't pick them for skill these people all feel incredibly inexperienced. Like the reaction to him executing someone, or the chaos at getting ambushed. Also, he had everyone bind themselves and then ordered them to bind the wolves? Aren't the bound people now incapable of that?

> Northking watched, mesmerized, as the dying man toppled sideways But last chapter > Northking didn't even watch him fall, already turning to bark orders at the others.

Magisch

Great chapter. Honestly from the way the Northking was built up I was expecting more then him getting punted like a schoolboy in the opening move by a very bored Adom. But I guess he's not a mage so he's really just fodder in the individual scheme of things.

Love the action, great chapter!

Pseudo

I look forward to it. The grimdark sounding action that is.

Always a pleasure! Thanks for reading :)

This is coming out veeery late, but hey, it's still a chapter, right? Hope this is enjoyable! This one was a bit dark, and violent, and I must admit that there will be other scenes like this, but we won't have that constant tension. It would be hard to write that. This more or less sets up the tone for this book. Lots of blood, action, and a few miracles for our boys. Very excited for Sam's mother's arc.
