Trish
So, I’m playing a Neutral Evil Human Life Domain Cleric.
MMS
Evil and Life Domain?
Trish
Yeah. My guy’s a skilled healer, but he’s, like… evil about it, y’know.
MMS
Um… okay, I guess.
Trish
Quick question — clerics usually wear heavy armour, but I don’t have to, do I? I want a, like, cool black leather cuirass.
MMS
No, you’re fine, you can give him leather armour if you want.
Trish
Sick.
MMS
Are you sure you want to play an Evil-aligned character?
Trish
What? Why not?
MMS
Oh, well, it’s just that it can be really difficult to make a character truly evil while still being complex. Does your guy have a sympathetic backtory or motivation?
Trish
Nope.
MMS
Nope?
Trish
Nope. He’s just bad. Always has been. He likes hurting people, see.
MMS
Uh… but he’s… a healer.
Trish
Yeah. See, his mother was very supportive of him from a young age.
