I'm also going stretch this months theme and continue developing things into DEC. This means instead of doing a poll for a new theme in DEC, I'm going to focus on teaching and making more art for what I'm currently working on now. it's just less stressful for me at this time and with all the new ventures I'm about to take on-- I don't think I'll have the creative space to enjoy my creative freedoms. This wont be treated like prior months where I collect the monthly earns to supply more reward-- so you'll still get the monthly physical rewards. I just don't want to cause art block while under stress and get nothing don at all. I hope you all understand and if you have any questions please let me know,
I have to still post this week --but I'm really debating on continuing Physical rewards until I know what is to come with the upcoming changes we may experience here in America. Which lets talk-- I try to stay away from directly speaking or creating art around politics on my accounts because as black woman, I'm constantly reminded of how much I struggle and every other black and Bipoc/LBGTQ+ and minority DAILY. My accounts are where I want to host a safe place for us to learn and just relax. Overall, art itself is political, the books we read and with that there is really no real escape from that.
I've been hopeful, angry and exhausted since the 5th of NOV and to see my state go from that safe blue to dangerously red-- I thought about how I don't get to plan the family I was preparing for 2025 or the house I wanted without the extra weight and concern -- I already had to mentally prep for things just incase the journey just doesn't kick off right away . but its back on hold-- my plans to focus and really push a collection for my IP's are also on hold because of this. and though I'm prepped and went over a plan B with myself, it still doesn't take away the sting I feel-- I already started concept art, and budget planning just for it be put on hold. but I'm also worried bout my trans friends, my mom, sister friends, my (internet) nieces and nephew, my aunts and you all of you that support me.
But to not make this too long or a vent-like rant -- Im just wanted to break my silence and say Im here if you need me, I love you all and whatever happens in the next 2 months, year or 4, I'm not going to stop and you shouldn't either. please keep your head up and know we are here and we will do everything in our power to keep each other safe.
