[WIP] Vanargand Animations - Dual Wielding Attacks
🕑 Added 2021-11-23 17:14:12 +0000 UTCThese animations will replace, While holding a one handed weapon in the left hand, the normal attacks while standing still, walking in the 4 directions and running in the 4 directions. Next up, the left hand power attacks.
No idea why, but unlike the right hand normal attacks, the ingame left hand attacks while walking are a blend between their workfile counterpart and their running attack counterpart, making it nearly impossible to get the intended walking footwork to match its ingame counterpart, the vanilla animations have that same issue though to a greater degree.

Attached, you'll find the test files showcased in the video as vanilla replacers , which can be used as is with no requirements, or to be placed in your folder structure of choice (Nemesis PCEA, Combo/Stances Animation Framework, Diverse Random Normal Attack, etc...)

Haha same actually, I rarely ever use the left normal attacks. but still, it needs to be polished and blend with the rest of the animations.

ooohhhh dual wielding!!! Very nice. Looking to see what the power attacks look like, since thats all I really attack with.

Just wanted to pop in and drop a feedback - these look really good, but one thing that bothers me is that these swings look... very light. In a sense that vanilla 1h attacks use your entire body, your character lunges forward when attacking. I do like yours, just find that swinging looks a bit on a lighter side, as if character doesn't put some weight behind strikes. Or maybe it's just me, idk Other than that, stellar job as always :)

I've always hated how clunky-looking dual-wielding attacks were, so this is awesome for me!

Much appreciated! :) I was also going to make a series specifically for archery and, later on, crossbows, but then decided I should leave Vanargand and Leviathan as codenames for light and heavy character playstyles in general.

I really like what your doing with the animations, like Vanargand is one handed or dual wielding light armor build and Leviathan is a twohanded heavy armor build. In my opinion Keep up the good work :D
