Giga profile updates
🕑 Added 2024-04-06 22:25:08 +0000 UTCOkay folks, I’m behind on sharing some profile updates but hoping to get that sorted Sunday.
I think I finally sorted my Giga print shifting issues and funny enough it’s due to something in Elegoo’s orca profile they sent me to test.
My profile that I created runs great with no layer shift issues after testing and comparing prints from both slicer profiles. I’m trying to dial in my speeds to get them faster more close to what Elegoo sent along as it saves an hour or two on huge prints.
I printed an 80x80 cube with my profile - paused print / resume /filament runout resume - no layer shifting.
When I test the same 80x80 cube with Elegoo’s profile it shifts when you pause & resume / swap filament.
Same goes for a huge 400x400 cube I tried printing
Passing along this info to elegoo as well to have them sort out their slicer profile issues. Happy to see mine was running properly.. just a bit slower 😂🤘
Going to keep my one profile as is, then make a faster version so you can play around with both. Will be similar to the Neptune profiles I will be putting out. Just need to retest those with the pausing to make sure they arnt shifting as well 🤞🤞

Im kinda feeling like we are yelling into a hole? are we ever going to get an update on the profiles or even why they are delayed?

What a big unit - wow !! I have no use for something that big… although I could print a giant terminator robot! Hmmmmm????

I was using the 4max profile on my 3max using Prusa with no issues. Try 4max on Orca?

Im struggeling to find out a "safe" way to up the speed on my neptun 3 max in orca. Been running with standard settings due to not having an "easy" % to choose from. Like its on cura. Any tips?

By any chance do you have your Neptune 3 Max profile on Orca? I have been trying to match it from Prusa but there is deferent settings on Orca and its a head scratcher for me.
