Sketches: Two pages with similar pictures
🕑 Added 2020-01-26 00:39:13 +0000 UTCThese were just idle doodles (many of my sketches don't start with much in mind). These were drawn weeks apart, and I was not deliberately mimicking the previous page, believe it or not.
I forget what I was going for with the first page, but I know that with the second, I was trying to draw without worry of mistakes, which is something I think many artists should do. I am not always successful with this!

I'll sketch out lines to indicate the flow of poses, yes. On top of that I'll either wing it, or rough out basic shapes to get a generic form down.

Do you normally start with a stickfigure for getting a pose? I find some artists start with general forms/shapes but I see lines for stick figures in these sketches (AGAIN THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR INCLUDING THESE)

Weird how sometimes you end up repeating yourself all unknowing.

I really enjoy seeing your process and appreciate your willingness to share some of the bare bones of your day to day efforts. :) It's encouraging for my own work.
