Maybe ask Zoom to have an option in settings to turn compression completely off, for streaming musicians?
I feel your pain - although to be fair, you had it a lot worse. When DivKid and I worked on the Monster webcasts, we found that Skype compression tried to eliminate the reverb, echoes, etc. on my demos. That's why we went with pre-recorded segments for the important performed demos, and then just did the Q&A demos live. Of course, that wouldn't have worked for what you were going. (Great sound of the equipment inside the studio, BTW.) I've heard Twitch is the least-damaging to music streams. YouTube live doesn't seem to be horrible. I'm curious to hear opinions on this.
