Thanks, and wanted to follow up to say it sounds absolutely lovely! I'm using 12x rechargeable AAs in those plastic D battery enclosures (all from Eneloop), and no problems so far. Battery life will obviously be a lower, but the power supplied in the moment is right on. Just a tip in case anyone is discouraged by the ton of D batteries required.

Oh you just need bananas, easy to solder adapters to anything. Enjoy!
So lovely, reminds me of the metal Marantz 'boombox' we had back in the 80's. I have my very own Nagra DH arriving later this week! Any tips on connecting it to various audio sources?

Oh my, stereo unit is 5k upwards here, can’t justify. But I love the idea, Nagraception.

I’d love to hear you take 2 battery powered nagras to a good sounding space outdoors to capture Dry sounds and play them into spaces and record that on another machine. Since you have multiples !. Not outside but I recall the stair well in the funkhaus sounding great. Record on to nagra 1. Play back through this louder battery powered speaker. Not a light set up but pure class if you had 3 nagras then you could do stereo recording :) lol. Maybe you need the stereo unit ?
