Diana first wore the iconic Travolta dress at a White House gala in November 1985, where she famously danced with the gown's namesake, John Travolta. The off-the-shoulder midnight blue evening gown was designed by Victor Edelstein and was inspired by the fashion of the Edwardian Era.
