I ordered a new drive and quickly made fresh back up with Acronis True Image and waited. The drive arrived Monday afternoon and I went to restore my back up to the new drive and it failed.... (Thanks for NOTHING Acronis...) After many efforts to get it to work I finally just copy/pasted the library and DAZ to the new drive then turned the PC off, removed the bad drive and put the new one in its place and changed the drive letter and name to match the old after rebooting. I had to take a stand alone back up to fix an issue with the Install Manager database but after testing things out but I am finally fully recovered and after two and a half days am able to start making renders again. The only reason I didn't lose anything was because I have multiple backups of the different elements of my database. Whew..

I don't have any off-site backups, except having the Scene/.duf files backup to OneDrive. Just the Acronis backup and two manual backups. The newest manual backup was 30 days old. (Now 1 day old, lol) I found out that the copy/paste didn't work on the .XML asset inventory files in Install Manager for some odd reason. I had to use the manual backup to restore those. The thing that would have irritated me the most would have been if I lost any of the custom MATs or assets I've made recently.

That's a really nice mannequin material! Also - well done overcoming the evil hard drive death. I've been certainly been there. I'm so paranoid about that kind of thing, I have three backup hard drives that I copy my Poser/images/stories data to once every 3-6 months. Each backup drive is in a different location just in case I was ever burgled too :O

I don't hear her complaining, she must be enjoying it too much for words to describe! 😉
