I liked it better than I thought too. It seemed a little self-indulgent to make a movie about one's unremarkable childhood but at least he executed it better than Kenneth Branagh did last year. My favorite part was the dynamic with girlfriend and bullies in school. Something felt off with the family dynamic for me.
