Certainly a wonderful exception and makes for a beautiful use of blue colors. It's like laying down in a field of flowers, in a sense. That is the impression I am getting as the character rests on those sheets.
Amazing work, can't wait to see the rewards for this one. I'm curious because I'm trying to learn more about portrait drawing. Do you make use of a lot of references with your pieces or do you rely on your visual library? Maybe a mix of both?

Actually it reminds me of cornflower blue which is one of my favorite colors ever but it is so rare! You do not see the color very often. I think you used it wonderfully in this piece.
