Revisiting DragonMech Work
🕑 Added 2022-05-10 20:05:26 +0000 UTCI illustrated an TTRPG called DragonMech (for Goodman Games) back in 2004. It was more work than expected, so I rushed most of the pieces (<1hr each). Back then I was in the midst of my one-work-layer-sloppy-brush period. Looking at the stuff now, I find it quite lacking, but I thought it would be fun to redo a few of the pieces (maybe just do some line-overs) and post here.
This is one of the less awkward pieces... if it looks like my Chozo that's because they were done around the same time, so they share some of my go-to-details (some of which still remain in use).
Viper
Height: 25 ft. Seems about right, given the human figure.
Crew: 1. Also seems about right. Perhaps two can squeeze into the hump back. More if dwarfs. These are magical-clockwork tech so I don't know how much room that leaves.
Firing ports: 10. Apparently these are slits for small arms fire or minor turrets. I didn't draw much of that on the original-
I don't remember how detailed specs I had when doing these. Possibly they tuned the profiles after the illustrations. I'll see if I can re-do another one tomorrow...
