Chapter 5 Cindy ties up Harley
🕑 Added 2025-10-12 11:19:03 +0000 UTCDid you find the wrong person?
In the comics, the pheromonal pull between "Spider-Silk" Cindy Moon and Peter Parker was an undeniable, instinctual force. Every time they met, neither could restrain their instinctive impulses.
But the thing is, this was Gotham, and Connors wasn't Spider-Man; he just had a spider-sense.
Cindy now showed up and kissed him upside down. Except for a moment of shock, he had little reaction. Instead, Cindy's eyes were closed and her breathing became increasingly rapid. Connors had sharp eyes and could even see a bulge on the "Spider-Silk" red-white-black tricolor suit.
Struggling hard, it turned out that the spider silk Cindy had launched from her fingertips was so tough that he couldn't break it at all now.
"If you can't resist, you have to enjoy it…"
Connors sighed secretly, letting "Spider-Silk" Cindy's hands grope up and down.
"If this is a world where Marvel and DC merge together, then I have to think about it."
"Most villains in Gotham City rely on strategy and skills to commit crimes. There are very few such existences as Poison Ivy, Killer Croc, and Bane."
"For the time being, I don't need to worry about encountering an opponent that is too strong to match. I can regard it as my own novice village and develop for a period of time."
"But now the question is, with Harley Quinn already, what should I do with Cindy Moon who comes to my door…?"
On the roof of a high-rise building on the street, Connors was lying on a suspended hammock woven from spider silk. Cindy Moon lay in his arms, looking like a little bird.
However, she came and went quickly. Cindy Moon quickly climbed up from him, ejecting a large amount of spider silk from the tip of one finger, encasing her proud figure in it. In the other hand, she tied her undressed suit with spider silk and left quickly without looking back.
Hit it and quit it?
Connors didn't even have time to react, and Cindy had disappeared into the tall buildings.
When he got dressed, the spider-sensation that had failed in front of "Spider-Silk" Moon came back, and he finally found Harley Quinn who had climbed up the stairs.
"Didn't you catch that mysterious guy?" Harley Quinn asked blankly, looking at the spider-silk hammock behind Connors.
"No." Connors was confident. He really didn't catch the other person; he was the one who was caught.
"It doesn't matter," Harley Quinn got a baseball bat from nowhere and waved it in the air. "I've already got the clown's message."
The clown's gonna start messing around?
Connors was refreshed. He thought that the Joker would be at peace for a while after he came out, but he didn't expect him to move so quickly.
"Know what he's going to do?"
Instead of answering, Harley Quinn handed him a newspaper.
On the headline of the newspaper, a big headline appeared:
"The patients of Arkham Asylum fled en masse!"
Among the list below were the Joker, Riddler, Bane, Scarecrow, Penguin, Killer Croc, and Poison Ivy.
There is no such plot in the comics, Connors frowned. He was not worried about how much trouble this group of people would bring. With Batman here, he would just eat melons quietly. It's just that if all these villains were dispatched, he wouldn't seem to be able to eat the melon himself.
"You said there is a clown message, what is it about?" Connors asked.
Harley Quinn pulled out a walkie-talkie from behind her shorts, and as soon as the button was pressed, intermittent noises came out of it:
"...It's okay, Captain, just an idiot photographer who wants to take a headline..."
"Cuff him up and send him to the city. This is no child's play."
After a brief two-sentence conversation, all that remained at the other end of the intercom was laughter:
"It seems that you all worked hard in vain, hehehe… HAHAHAHA! …Gordon… hahaha! Help… hahaha!"
Connors's first reaction was to wonder who was so happy calling for help in the intercom. His second reaction was that if, according to Harley Quinn, that was the message about the Joker, the conclusion would come out.
—Laughing gas!
Following the relevant plot vaguely remembered in his mind, Connors asked Harley Quinn for a direction, and then they quickly ran towards it from the roof.
Williams Medical Center.
It had been bombarded with dynamite by this time, with a large hole in the wall. Bullet casings, firearms, and corpses lay all over the floor.
"The guards were killed by the blast wave of the explosion, and before the rest of the guards rushed out of their offices, he poured bullets here with his machine gun…"
"Knowing from the survivors that the killer should be this clown."
"He kicked open the ward door and threw a load of loaded weapons as a gift to join his new fan club."
Batman was wearing his suit and listening to the description of the only survivor here. Even though the upper half of his face was obscured by a mask, it could still be seen that his expression was getting more and more serious.
"Right… Batman, I think you should look at this."
After Gordon finished speaking, he headed in the other direction of the medical center, followed by Batman, and the two stood together at a wall.
Next to the wall lay a bloody mop, with which the words on the wall were apparently written:
"ONE PERSON AFTER ANOTHER, DEATH IS NOT FAR AWAY. FALLEN CITY, FOLLOW ME TO THE UNDERWORLD."
Standing side by side with Batman, Gordon looked away from the blood-written verse and together they looked at the small print written with a marker next to it:
"—This was done by the clown."
It was also accompanied by an arrow pointing to the verse.
The handwriting was unusually neat and completely out of style with the poem written with blood.
"Who wrote this?" Batman pointed to that line of small print.
"It suddenly appeared, and no one knew who wrote it… Could it be a prank?" Captain Gordon guessed.
Without saying a word, Batman resolved to catch him, whether it was a prank or the Joker's accomplice.
"Now not only those guys from Arkham, but the fugitives from Williams Medical Center need to be captured…"
Before Gordon could finish speaking, Batman next to him was nowhere to be seen.
Batman then shuttled through all corners of Gotham City until dark, until daybreak, when only six accomplices who had escaped from Williams Medical Center were caught in total.
In the middle of the Wayne Building, Alfred held what Bruce Wayne had just taken off in his hand.
"Can you sleep for a while, Master Wayne?"
"Not today, Alfred, I have a lot to do," Bruce Wayne finished speaking and headed for the elevator.
"Sure enough. I suggest you take at least ten minutes off before dealing with this tonight… In addition, someone anonymously sent an email tonight about your opponent, the Joker."
Bruce stopped.
"There are only two words in the mail: 'laughing gas' and 'reservoir.'"
With his "spider-sensation," Connors easily avoided other people's sight, wrote the lines of small characters like a prank under the poem written by the Joker, and then used an anonymous address that Harley Quinn pulled out to send the email to Batman.
He was determined to eat Batman and the Joker's melon, but he didn't plan to get too involved. He didn't want to wait until Batman got the Joker before he found himself. With the two words "laughing gas" and "reservoir," he was sure a man as smart as Batman would definitely understand the subsequent development of this matter.
The Joker could give Batman a headache. At this point, Connors had his own business to deal with.
After being tied up by "Spider-Silk" Cindy during the day, he was now tied up by Harley Quinn at night.
"Let me guess," she purred, straddling him with a wicked grin. "Did you use this pose at the time?"
