The saying goes: All things must come to an end. And just like the dye in her hair that fading away to her natural color, Evie’s phone chimed in reminding her that she had an appointment with the orthopedic doctor in less than a week. Her hair she could always re-dye and recolour to her hearts content, so long as the roots and ends hold and stay healthy. But for her two casts that so astonishingly shot her little stream channel into the mainstream of gaming viewership, they weren’t as easily replaced. No doubt in her mind that her bones had knit up and healed properly, as Evie had been walking without pain for the past week (much to the enjoyment of her avid cast enthusiast donators). But as she peered down at the dirtied, worn, blue and pink casts on her legs, she felt a sense of worry and morose. What would her viewers think after she got her casts off? Would they stick around, or would they flock to the next gamer girl who was showing off her new casts? Her savings account had never been fuller, and she was getting by just fine before her accident. But the nagging doubt and fear of it plagued the back of her mind ever since the thought crossed into her mind during her first casted stream session. Wiggling her toes against the cast’s edges, Evie shuffled her feet around the loosened insides of her aged casts. Her muscles had shrunk enough for her to move comfortably around in them, and the softness of the padding had gotten quite the usage for certain climactic purposes. With a sigh, Evie went back to combing the new Supercolor Cobalt Blue into her locks, smelling the pungent stench of the chemical dye seeping into the keratin. For a moment, the smell sent her back to the emergency room just after she had the casts applied. The warmth of the fiberglass setting, softness of the padding against her tender skin, and faint sweet smell of the cast tape setting in washed over her senses as she let out a pleased smile. Thinking back a bit, Evie remembered the ever present question of her viewers asking if the casts were recreational or real. “Recreational casts… Hmmm…” Evie hummed, as she blipped her phone into Incognito mode to browse her piqued curiosity. A few searches lead the blue haired vixen onto a few promising leads, as an interesting opportunity had presented itself in front of Evie. And despite her ditzy appearance, she was neither a fool nor was she clueless. A few names she bookmarked to research later, but as the timer went off for her to wash out the dye from her hair, Evie smiled as solution to her cast problem was now but a message away. “Heh, time to send some emails…”
