Nominate TWB!
🕑 Added 2023-02-10 08:54:07 +0000 UTCI don't usually do this, but I'd like you all to go and nominate TWB for an Ursa Major Award. (Deadline is the 11th. So don't dawdle!)
It's basically an award- I think it's engraved lucite, so, like an actual physical tchotchke- for the years' best anthropomorphic thing. I'd like you all to nominate TWB as a comic strip, and the Sherlock Holmes story in specific, as a graphic story. (Keeping in mind that's a joint work between Kathy Garrison-Kellogg of Carry On and I.)
The reason for this? Petty revenge. :)
Kathy won several classes last year, and later found out there were complaints from other entrants (or fans of entrants, maybe) that she had in effect "stuffed the ballot box". How? My actually asking her readers to, you know, go and vote.
Apparently the typical entrant gets a few dozen votes, and Kathy got hundreds- this, of course, was deemed unfair. (Not by the Ursa people, but by fans of other entrants.)
So, go and stuff the ballot box. Legally, one vote/nomination per customer, and all that, let's not make a complete mockery of the system. :)
Let's get TWB nominated, in both entries, and then when the voting actually starts, head back on over and vote again.
I get no money, there are no accolades involved, and last time, Kathy actually had to call and ask for her trophies. but hey, we're not doing it for those. :)

I think the link is bad. Just google the awards or shorten the url so you don't his the noms page. I've nominated as suggested
