CHAPTER 25

He grabbed the Joker by the collar and delivered a barrage of "Ora-Ora" fists to that twisted, pale face.
After beating the Joker's face to an unrecognizable pulp, he roughly broke his limbs.
Then, he slung the Joker over his shoulder, turned to the other two, and said, "Let's go, we're heading to Gotham University! The dirty bomb is there!"
"Oh, oh, oh! Okay!"
"Right."
Brother Eggbert and Jason nodded repeatedly. The two of them and one egg, plus a crippled Joker, ran towards the Batmobile.
Brother Eggbert and Jason flanked Batman, knocking away anyone who approached. There was no time to waste on these small fry.

Commissioner Gordon, having rushed to Gotham University, was currently in a fierce firefight with the Jokerz gang!
Bang bang bang bang...
Rat-tat-tat-tat...
Gunsmoke filled the air, bullets flew wildly; the battle was intense!
Those damn masked Jokerz had surrounded the entrances and exits of Gotham University.
If the police officers wanted to get in and rescue people, they had to take down those blocking the way!
Everyone inside the school was hiding, not from the Jokerz maniacs, but from the dirty bomb that was about to explode!
Damn it!
Just twenty minutes ago, someone in a truck had delivered a large, beautifully wrapped gift box, placing it right next to a teaching building.
Such a large gift box naturally attracted onlookers. Students were curious, teachers were puzzled; they even thought someone was planning a marriage proposal and found the idea creative.
However, just a few minutes ago, the gift box had opened automatically.
A large, red-painted "firework" stood upright inside the box. A small blackboard hung on the firework, displaying the Joker's smiling face and a sentence:
"Happy 3rd Anniversary of playing games, Joker and Little Bat!"
Below the blackboard hung a timer, showing: Countdown... 25 minutes 13 seconds.
Once those 25 minutes and 13 seconds were up, this large firework would turn Gotham University into a wasteland.
It was confirmed: this was the Joker's gift, a gift sufficient to send Gotham University to kingdom come.
The students who saw it at the time nearly wet themselves in fear!
They immediately called the GCPD and ran towards the school gates. But unfortunately, heavily armed Jokerz were outside the gates; anyone running out of the campus would be shot.
When Commissioner Gordon arrived with his men, they were ambushed by the Jokerz.
Seven officers died, twelve were shot, and three patrol cars were wrecked. The wounded were receiving emergency treatment, while the rest engaged in a firefight with the Jokerz.
Gordon grumbled, "What the fuck, where did they get this much firepower! It's almost on par with ours! Don't let me find out which bastard sold them these guns!"
(Penguin, cowering in his safe house, sneezed more than ten times at this moment. He would never have guessed that the Joker had stolen from his weapons cache.)
"Grenade!"
When over a dozen grenades were thrown, the defensive line formed by the police cars was instantly breached. Seven police cars were blown to smithereens.
"Fuck! My car! My fucking brand-new car! I'll absolutely! Fucking! Kill them!"
Commissioner Gordon saw red. Previously, he was anxious to rush into the school to save people. Now, he was anxious to first kill these damned bastards!
Bang bang bang...
Gordon, holding a riot shield, fired continuously through the shield's opening. Before stepping out, he had grabbed several full magazines from his colleagues and then charged forward.
The Jokerz on the other side, suddenly seeing someone dare to charge out, immediately concentrated their fire.
Clang clang clang clang clang...
That was the sound of bullets hitting the riot shield and falling off, a continuous racket.
The specially made heavyweight riot shield was battered and dented after being hit by concentrated fire!
This type of riot shield, capable of withstanding rocket-propelled grenade impacts, was a new product from Wayne Enterprises. The police department had only updated to this new equipment two days prior. Gordon was thankful he had been willing to spend the money back then!
Gordon withstood their attack and aimed and fired when they reloaded.
One man, one gun, bang bang bang bang... he emptied his magazine.
He killed seven unlucky bastards in one go.
The remaining Jokerz, seeing how ferocious Gordon was, began to lose their nerve.
They started to retreat, seeking cover behind the security room, vans...
As they looked for places to hide, Gordon advanced with his shield, and the officers behind him followed suit.
The Commissioner was leading by example, charging headfirst with such ferocity!
These righteous police officers, handpicked by the Commissioner, couldn't afford to be cowards!
More and more officers advanced with shields, gradually surrounding the area.
The Jokerz finally panicked. They had only heard their seniors boast about what a ruthless man Gordon was. Seeing him now, he was indeed extraordinary. This wasn't just a ruthless man; he was practically a wolf-exterminator!
And what's more, Gordon was charging right at them!
"Holy crap, quick, quick, use grenades on him!"
"Throw them! Throw them at him!"
Whoosh—
Gordon, with quick eyes and deft hands, swung his riot shield, batting away an incoming grenade. He then quickly crouched, trying to keep his body as much behind the shield as possible.
BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!
The explosions flipped the Jokerz' van, sent the unlucky ones hiding behind it flying, and the blast wave also blew Gordon away. However, he was fine; the fully armored Gordon merely stumbled.
He got up again and advanced towards the enemy!
"Woohoo~ So cool! Commissioner Gordon is awesome!"
A rookie who had just joined the GCPD was stunned by Gordon's bravery! His blood boiled, and he wanted to go help Gordon.
"Shut up, rookie! We'll handle this side; you guys go arrest them!"
An old-timer flicked the hot-headed rookie on the head, waking him up, and told the rookie to go apprehend the Jokerz members dazed by the bomb blast. The others continued to advance with Commissioner Gordon!

It was chaotic outside the school gates, and it wasn't peaceful inside the school either.
Several armed Jokerz members rushed directly into classrooms, attempting to take students hostage to break through the police encirclement.
But it was their bad luck; they happened to threaten Commissioner Gordon's daughter, Barbara Gordon.
"You guys really know how to pick 'em! Criminals!"
Barbara finished speaking and delivered a sweeping leg kick, directly taking down the idiot with the gun, then kicked him unconscious.
With police combat takedown techniques, she immobilized another Jokerz member on the spot!
"Hey! Don't just stand there gawking! A few of you, come over and help me hold them down!"
Barbara shouted at the crowd. Several tough guys stepped out from the crowd to help restrain the two unlucky goons.
"Oh wow, Barbara is that strong?" Barbara's classmate whispered.
Someone nearby who heard responded, "Isn't that obvious? After all, her dad is Gotham's fiercest commissioner. It's normal for her to know a few takedown moves! Huh? What's wrong with you? Hey!"
The person who had frozen responded, "Uh? Ah! Oh, I was wondering if I've ever offended her."
"I don't think so... uh... probably..."

Outside Gotham University.
The Batwing streaked across the sky. There was no pilot inside; it was just here to make a delivery!
However, its appearance intimidated the arrogant Jokerz.
It also made the GCPD officers feel as if they'd been injected with chicken blood; their savior, Batman, had arrived!
The police morale was instantly boosted!
At this moment, the officers' backs no longer ached, their legs weren't sore; each one was incredibly brave, braving the hail of bullets, charging forward, and taking down those criminals!
Before the Batwing even landed, the police had already defeated all the Jokerz members.
When the Batwing landed and the hatch automatically opened, there was nothing inside except for a covered food container.
"???" chorused many.
"What's going on? Why isn't Batman here?"
"What's this? Fried eggs? Are there so many for us to eat?"
"Hey, you idiots, hurry up and figure out how to deal with that dirty bomb! What are you all spacing out here for!"
Gordon felt utterly speechless. He couldn't lead this bunch of new officers. They shouldn't be wasting time on such meaningless things!
"Vroom—Vroom—"
The roar of an engine sounded, growing louder and closer!
The officers who were about to run into the campus warily looked towards the source of the sound.
An incredibly cool Batmobile, speeding and constantly honking its horn, came racing here, even executing a drift in front of the university gates.
The car doors opened in the next second. Batman, dressed all in black; Robin, in green shorts; the Joker, like a dead dog in a purple suit; and... What the fuck is this thing? An egg?
A giant egg with arms and legs?
It jumped out of the car and ran towards the Batwing at incredible speed. As it ran, a plume of dust trailed behind its legs, like a special effect.
Brother Eggbert lifted the lid of the food container. Inside were the most fried eggs Alfred could make in the limited time—a total of 20, enough to let him transform for ten minutes.
He wolfed them all down in one go!
Then, in a flash of white light, he transformed into Super Eggbert!
His red cape billowed in the wind as he flew directly into the campus.
The police officers suddenly felt their heads buzzing, unable to comprehend what had just happened.
Gordon, equally stunned: "This is?"
"Never mind the egg. Tell me, Gordon, where's the dirty bomb?"
Speaking of serious matters, Gordon ignored the reality-bending creature. He said seriously, "We were ambushed by the Jokerz, just defeated them, and are now about to search! According to the phone tip, it should be near Teaching Building One."
Batman tossed the Joker to Gordon, instructing, "Watch him closely. Don't remove that handcuff. He has terrifying healing abilities right now; that cuff suppresses his healing!"
With that, he led Robin running into the school.
Super Eggbert arrived in front of the dirty bomb, looking at the timer: four minutes and fifty-two seconds remaining.
Just as he was about to act, he froze.
Me, disarm a bomb? I don't think I know how! I never learned!
Then, an image suddenly flashed in his mind.
Inside a white eggshell, a black preserved egg (century egg) was placed. That black preserved egg was wreaking havoc inside the white eggshell but couldn't cause any damage to the space within the shell.
Super Eggbert thought for a moment, looking contemplative, then opened his mouth and swallowed the dirty bomb in one gulp!
This scene shocked Batman and Robin, who had just arrived.
