My Audition for Subverse + Extra
🕑 Added 2019-08-20 02:48:42 +0000 UTCAlrighty, here are my recordings for the Subverse audition. I recorded these back in May/June...and I feel like I've already grown a lot since then. Oh well, it's submitted. What's done is done.
I auditioned for 4 roles: Empress Celestina, The Huntress, Taron, and Fowchan.
The Empress is the character I'm aiming for, but I did the others just for practice. And um, excuse my very very poor English accent for Fow.
There were hundreds of submissions, and I'm up against seasoned voice actresses with years of professional experience. While I don't expect to land a role, it was still a great learning experience. The studio is supposedly get back to me regardless of whether or not I make it. I know some people have already received their rejection letters...so we'll see.
There's bonus material at the end of the video unrelated to Subverse. I reached out to a popular NSFW animator who specializes in Rule 34 SFM videos. I found two characters I can kinda imitate, so I'll see what he and his voice director thinks of me. Again, nothing is confirmed. I'm just trying out.

Heard anything back yet Skitty? I think Fowchan was my fav. Can we just acknowledge for a second how amazing your Raven impression is, like... where did that come from? Super impressed. Shame it strains your voice but if you practise you may overcome that. Really enjoyed that, would love to hear more Raven! Skitty is going pro now... Was only a matter of time. Having a solid support base here should help you too. Hope it all works out.

On mobile so sorry for formatting, but I love the little bits of extra effort you put into the videos, with the aesthetic and visualiser and stuff. it adds a nice little oomph to the listening. And man listening is every bit as fun as I remember, I love your Taron voice and I genuinely think your take on Peach was perfect. Glad to finally have some time to listen to your stuff again, best of luck for your results!

That second take with Celestina was mindblowingly amazing. I love your Huntress, sweet and ruthless :D Oh damn, Taron, I wants, just like she wants dick :D Mmmmm, that Fowchan. I'm down :) Bonus #1 & 2 - you suit them so well. Sahweet :D I think you did a great job, and if the opinion of 1 stranger on the internet has any sway, me being that stranger, you have nothing to feel shy about :) Fingers crossed for Celestina. But tentacle-y Skitty, I wouldn't mind :)

Thank you for sharing these with us even while shy about them. I really enjoyed all your readings. I know surprising right? I'm so excited for you and waiting with baited breath. Can't wait for them to be all "Okay. Everyone else can go home. Skitty's just gonna' do all the voices." I might need to mod my knights of the old republic game so HK-47 says Skitty hunter lines. (don't worry, would just be for me.)
