In other news, Downloading Content...
So for the longest time, I was under the impression that there was no way for me to control how my content was shared.
Patreon's audio post default is to have a downloadable link. Having a downloadable link has always given me anxiety. While I don't mind people downloading my content for personal use. My concern spikes in the scenario where a person would download and share my exclusives publicly. Earlier this month, someone notified me that there was a request thread in a popular subreddit asking for copy of my Big Skitty Will Be Your Girlfriend audio. It upsets me because 99% of my content is free, and I just want to keep a small library here as a thank-you for patrons.
A few days ago, I discovered I can now turn off the downloads. I don't know if this was something I missed or if it's a new option. But after a lot of thought, I'll be moving forward with disabling downloads. I know this is unfair to those who enjoy keeping a copy of my audio for personal use, and I'm very very sorry for that. But leaked exclusives is unfair to everyone supporting me here.
I'm going to open up the 'Big [Redacted]' and 'Vampire girl' audios to the Hugs+ tiers again for the next couple of days. You can have one more chance to save them before I disable downloads. When the Kiss exclusive comes out, downloads will be disabled.
Again, I'm sorry for the change. I hope you'll understand why I need to do this.

Ahhhh.... I was going to message you about this very thing. I enjoy listening to certain audios as I fall asleep. I find them comforting even though they're NSFW... what can I say, I have a mommy complex, I'm not ashamed to admit it. A person tends to end up with one when dealing with abandonment issues. I was hoping to make a playlist of the "gentle fdom" to fall asleep to, and guide my dreams. Please message me @skittykat if you can help with that.

I know. I've been going back and forth about this. And I feel horrible about it. If people want to go through those lengths to save, then there's nothing I can do. Turning the option off will give me some peace of mind, even if it is illusionary. I'll extend the time the $3 and $5 tiers have access to the audios. My intention isn't to gouge people here... I just want to have some sort of control. And my free soundgasm content will always be there and technically downloadable.

Even if you turn off downloads it's still possible to record the playback. I'm just telling you because it might be kind of pointless while making stuff worse for your patrons. There's probably no easy solution but you're not the only one with this problem. Hopefully people will understand and like you enough to not share your stuff.

The $3 and $5 tier will have the same issue. Although old rambles won't be shifting in the $5 tier. Perhaps I'll keep the audio open for two months before shifting tiers? I feel bad about this too, that's why I've open two of the more popular audios for people to nab before I make the change. I think you've mentioned in the past you like listening on a podcast player. There's now an option to listen via a RSS link. I believe it's on the top right of the page on desktop.

As always, sounds like a smart move and I fully support it as your decision. I love that you took the time to discuss it with us. I thought we did a good job as a sounding board for you and I hope it helped. I've always loved that you make things easily available for people I think it is admirable and speaks to your inherent goodness and wholesomeness. I hope you didn't miss my message in the PillowFort channel where I said a few things to the downloading thing. Now when I'm again thinking about it there will be one problem you might overlookβ¦ Now with the new model of the exclusives moving to the higher tier after a month, the 5$ tiers will have only this one month to enjoy the exclusive audio and then bye, bye forever without saving. So the before said advantage for those who were around longer in the tier will be no more.Β Or maybe you are planning it this way IDK. It would make the 15$ tier more valuable and interesting, but on the behalf of the 5$ tier.Β
