In the Mexican town of San Angel, Manolo (Diego Luna), Maria (Zoë Saldana) and Joaquin (Channing Tatum) have been friends ever since childhood. Although their lives have taken different paths -- Maria was sent to Europe, Joaquin joined the military, and Manolo studied to become a bullfighter -- one thing remains the same: Manolo and Joaquin both want to marry Maria. Little does the trio know that battling husband-and-wife deities have made a high-stakes wager on the love triangle's outcome.

You should check out the Disney show Elena of Avalor. It has episodes about day of the dead. I think you should start with the premiere movie Elena and the secret of Avalor. The show was so good and so underrated. I wish more reactors would react to Elena of Avalor.

I saw both coco and the book of life when they both came out respectively. I remember the book of life being actually kinda scary in the theater with the whole snake coming at you thing. It was definitely a jump scare. I think both movies remind me of very different times in my life. Like the book of life helped me get through a rough year of bullying at school. And coco helped me grieve the loss of my grandpa. So I never thought one movie copied the other, I always thought they were both great films about the same holiday with similar themes that are found honestly in a lot of films about Latino cultures. It’s not exclusive to these two films. Also coco had been in production longer than the book of life was. So I just don’t like comparing them. I think it sucks the joy out of both films.

I say this one is better than Coco. Also it was funny how La Murete exploded with anger when she found out Xibabla cheated AGAIN!!! lol Also you know that Candle Maker was ICE CUBE right?!
